I think overall the game is fun and has a good aesthetic. Iโd recommend anyone that likes incremental games to definitely try it. Iโd like to see an option to โbuyโ it and remove ads, as theyโre always intrusive. I know it is the โmobile wayโ but that doesnโt make ads any less obtrusive when asked โwaste X time watching this ad, get rewarded with Y stuffโ. Itโs still ultimately a waste of time even if it gives players in-game items. I guess itโs up to the dev to decide what works best for them vs what people will put up with to play their game. Iโm currently still playing it but after a while the ads are annoying and I can see myself stopping relatively soon because of it. On the flip side, Iโm sure it is hard as a dev to find the financial model that works for their app. Anyway. Overall, Iโd recommend anyone try the game as the game itself seems pretty fun.
This game is like a breathe of fresh air for idle/tapper games. It reminds me why I fell in love with the genre in the first place. I havenโt felt the overwhelming need to pay for anything in this game to progress, in facts the game has a system for active or passives users to enjoy and it helpfully describes that in the games description. If youโve been looking for a new game to pass the time then please try this one. We need more games like this. A note to the developer: if the spell section is listed in a specific way then I understand, I just didnโt know I could scroll down and purchase other spells sooner to help me progress faster. It may be helpful to others if you could put spells in a purchase order from least expensive to most. If the list is specifically placed due to other reasons then I understand and hopefully this review helps those that didnโt know this yet! Thank you for developing this game with the idea of making games fun (and addictive) again!
When I mention idle games to my friends, they think I'm insane because they're known as a cesspool of timewalls, paywalls, and intense greed from developers in the form of $9.99 for this, $4.99 for that, five minutes of ads for that other thing. All I really want from idle games is a relaxing and chill experience, and I'm even sick of those cash-grabs. And then you have this game: Idle Wizard, a Fair Play Game. It captures all the thrills of similar games (and even uses the formula that put Egg, Inc. on the map), and takes out the $9.99. Even ads are an optional feature of the game, though highly rewarding for those who choose to build around ads, yet the game is still competent and fun to play. Then you have the customization in the form of items and ancient mana (think Epic Upgrades and Golden Eggs), in that every aspect of the game can be upgraded permanently beyond prestiges, from the amount of charges you can make to your generation of power, even extending to increasing the frequency of rewarded ads and boosting their effectiveness. All in all, this is an idle game worth playing even if you're like me and don't have money to spend on games.
