UPDATE: Months later, still getting error messages preventing play *every time* I open the game. Sigh. Deleted. UPDATE: I stuck with this game as the devs upgraded capacity. Very much appreciate their (herculean!) efforts, but I'm still getting error messages every time I open the game. In addition, leveling things like blacksmithing and lumber consists of days of grinding out low-level items for correspondingly low XP. And those days of crafting are preceded by even more days of gathering. Other skills have new crafting items every couple of levels. I currently need 1.2 million XP to level blacksmithing, and each ore I craft is 20xp. Why? How is this fun? I was happy to pay for this game and support the devs. But I will likely delete. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I wanted to love this game. It's right up my alley. But it's glitchy. I saw frequent display glitches, considerable lag when crafting, differences between what was displayed and what should have been displayed (such as leatherworking level-ups during woodworking). Also delays upward of 20 seconds while gathering when the area was not full and displayed a 3-second delay. Sometimes I can't even tell if crafting is occurring because the UI doesn't update. I hope this is happy growing pains! But the game is a struggle for me as it is.
The overall concept and design of the game isn’t a rehash of another with a different theme. I like how when you go to the next tier, it’s not just harvesting and crafting, but you have to add more ingredients. It makes it more complex and fun, imo. As to the overall speed of the game, I went and purchased the starting pack, so I got faster times, and 3X inventory. Still, leveling is a MAJOR grind, and I usually just put it to harvest something, and pick it up the next morning. Making sure your crafting is leveled up to create gear, as well as making sure the ability is leveled up enough to wear it, is hard to manage. One of the biggest difficulties is the market. You have to go through a long process of setting up how many of an item you want to sell is, but it asks you the individual price. Why don’t they let you put up a stack of 100 leather boots, and people can purchase however many they want, and be charged accordingly? Perhaps in a future update? Looking forward to seeing it move forward!
Hello guys: thank you for great idea. I understand it’s early release and you are a bit overestimated your server capabilities. To me it’s looks like it’s fails to perform idle activity for so many players. Here is a tip: you may use you server only for forced time sync in app, so people will not cheat on switching time on their phones. App client on start should count basic profit and extra unique drop based on “how long app was not sending heartbeat” phones are powerful. I know you think about battery life. There is good - perfect game called “realm grinder”. Concept that I really want to see is: you have tavern and city like setup, you can occasionally meet heroes in tavern - you can make a party of them and send them to grind or fight monsters. Full idle: you send your heroes in Dark Tower, while party one going over stages-don’t need full graphic- just add text explanation. Another group gathering resources, 3rd guarding the gate. 4th recovering after injuries in infirmary, all characters have limbs that can be damaged during their raids or jobs and health bars. If person balancing group with good healer or lord, it will heal the group during rounds of chaos that await them in dungeons. While bard or cook can assist during the crafting events. If characters life reaches 0 it’s dead. Can be buried on the holy grounds or revived for real money. Equipment that can be used not only craftable, but you can loot dungeons for it. Some items that crafted by cooking or found in dungeons have temp effects, like buffs. Some items have permanent + to stats. Like Fruit of Wisdom +1 to intelligent. Etc. With how busy your server are this game at current stage barely playable. Yo can go for better hardware and faster redundant network. Or load some calculations on mobile devices. I’m still exited to see results of the path you taking. And good luck on the way of your choice.
