I have played 100 games on take take take, and reviewed each with their review system and another websites review and Iโm 1200 rated. Also the bulk of any complaints I have are fixed by just also having the LiChess app, and or using an outside game review in addition to TTT The good: the ai helps explain why some moves are better than others in game review, very often the engine suggestions are a mystery to me at my ELO so the writing is nice. The social gamification of chess is a lot of fun with the challenges posted. Clean and was easy to use The things Iโd change: I wish game review showed me maybe the top 3 lines I could have made instead of just the top engine move. Puzzles would be cool, especially if they are made from people you follows games or something cool, really play up the social aspect. I donโt think I can play against friends on here, and would be nice to โplay your favorite creatorโ or something to help pull people in. I like the board, but you canโt change the color and some may complain. Would be nice if I could set the rating range I play against like on LiChess. All this being said Iโve played 100 blitz games in 3 days and will continue to play on this app. I canโt wait to see how awesome TTT is as time progresses
Most chess apps are honestly a waste of time. They make you feel like youโre improving when youโre really just memorizing patterns and tapping moves without thinking. Take, Take, Take is different and it exposes that problem immediately. This app doesnโt let you hide behind guesswork. You either calculate properly or you fail. Simple as that. No shortcuts, no inflated sense of progress. It forces you to think, stay disciplined, and actually finish what you start just like in a real game. That alone puts it ahead of 90% of chess apps out right now. The experience is clean, fast, and straight to the point. No fluff, no distractions, no fake โgamificationโ tricks to keep you hooked while you stay mediocre. If youโre serious about getting better not just passing time this app hits different. It trains the part of your brain that actually wins games. Most apps entertain you. This one trains you.
Hello! Love the social media esque aspect of it and the ui is great so far! Doing the Dina rapid rating challenge and notice there seems to be an easy-ish way to game the system by relinking different lichess accounts to your take take take account. If you look at the top user (sorry for snitching ๐ญ) you can see this type of behavior with different lichess accounts being used under the same take take take account to gain rating in the challenge, seems like something will need to be done here for future challenges!
