Denver News from 9News

8/3/26 -So sad to see this terrible app update is still out there. I will only click on articles from Facebook, since it still shows the old version of the app. I’ve turned off notifications for the 9News app on my phone. When I do forget and open the app, the font and formatting makes me cringe and I close again. I was hoping you’d ditch this dumpster fire but you haven’t so I’ve just deleted 9NEWS app from my phone and will use Denver7 from here on out, even though I prefer 9NEWS. I hope you all wake up and address this one day. —-// 2/26 Edit to add the feature where you click on a notification and are greeted with a too long, extended welcome screen, followed by a grey screen where the article should be is especially annoying. —-// The update released early 2026 is absolutely terrible. The main screen loads less than 50% of the time, when it does load, it takes forever. Frequently get “Unable to Load” errors. The page layout and font is awful and hard to read. Miss the old app. Just downloaded Denver7. Will use that until this mess is fixed.

Too many commercials. Commercials are OLD!!! Not enough news! The app looses signal all of the time and totally turns off, then when you bring it back up you have to watch 3 commercials at least before news comes back on. Then it looses signal again just as the news starts! So you have to start all over!! I can watch CNN all day with minimal commercials and when it looses signal it spins for a few seconds and then comes back on by itself. Back to the news. Again your commercials are old!!! Old! Old!

Honestly, I have an eye for grammar, mainly because I am dyslexic. And when I see it spelt wrong, the wrongs stand out more on screen than when I type or write it out myself! I’ve noticed time and again, over the past 6 years that 9 News puts up stories with errors of Spelling on line, day after day, week after week. Be it on the APP, or on line, or even when watch on 9NEWS or Channel 20, there are spelling errors. Now look, I’ve live in NYC, LA, San Diego, Tampa, Not one of these Media outlets News Stations are even close to how professional, well read, well written, or have the Coalition Building Skills in there Markets at all that the Denver area Market has. NON! Casper Wyoming the Newscasters can’t even read a script without falling over there own words over and over daily, nightly! 9 News KUSA, and there App really is one of the best local and national apps I’ve ever used, the weather app they have, I have setup for places around the world to keep myself updated on my loved ones of storms and the weather where they are. It’s more accurate than my own local station even! I realize over the past 3 years there’s been a lot of change at 9 News, long Are the days of the greats of, Ed Sardella, Mike Landis, Hollow Woodward, Linda benzyl, we lost Adel and Mark, still have Kim and Kathy. Kyle is great, and though he is young, he and Kim have he’d the new team together with Kathy very well! As long as the Management realizes that 9 NEWS was always the Best because of what it gave the people of Colorado, because it was the people of Colorado, and they remember that and keep being a part of the core community, than the app and the station will always have 5 Stars.
