This app is so lovely. I am moving through the chapters slowly, about one per week, so I have only finished four so far. I absolutely love it. I go to traditional therapy, which is an absolute necessity for me, but this app gives me something else. It feeds into my imaginative, my need for stories, and my desire to explore. It catches me off guard with new thoughts and ideas. And when I do it and also use the guided meditation, my stress level noticeably reduces. Every once in awhile the AI goofs and I get thrown off, but mostly it functions amazingly well, and at times I have found it incredibly moving. Like when I asked if it could give me more examples and it said “Always.” Thank you so much for the beautiful experience. I adore it. I do wonder why the meditations disappear after a few chapters. They are really important to me and I hope more are developed in the future! One thing to add since I’m near the end—at some point in the middle the guided meditations just disappear. This is a real disappointment. I found them to be a really helpful part of the work. Will there be more guided meditations to fill out the journey?
This is such an amazing app. I have so much trouble with mental health apps because of my ADHD, but this app has felt very accessible to me. It’s more gamified (kind of like a chill choose-your-own-adventure), and each chapter has more straightforward articles after you complete it. You don’t need to keep track of all the details from previous chapters to understand and benefit from the current one — I just can’t do the every-day-mental-health-activities stuff because I forget and then feel a lot of pressure, but I don’t get that feeling with this. I can’t afford the paid portion, but I applied for a free slot and they graciously gave me one. Having paywalls is another reason why mental health apps haven’t been successful for me in the past, and I’m so glad that the one app that has actually helped me allows me to do more of the activities without the stressful financial barrier. I’ve never heard of apps having free slot applications, and I think it shows how kind the app developers are. It seems like they really care about helping others the best that they can. It’s been a really hard 7ish months for me, and to see what this team is doing is so wonderful that I got a little choked up. If you are able to pay for rest of the chapters, please do! They are so kind to offer free slots and they deserve financial support for this beautiful project (/if/ you are able to)
As someone who has ADHD and 👏🏼struggles👏🏼 to open up to therapists this app has so far been a godsend. I already sent it to my best girl friend and told her to download it and am about to see if my best guy friend can download it (not an apple guy 🥰👎🏼😂). I’m about to put it on my husband’s phone, too. If you’re struggling with therapy, can’t afford, can’t open up, etc. I highly recommend this app. It doesn’t feel like you’re burdening anyone or anything with any of your problems. No one is judging you. Also. Thank you thank you thank you for making the free version. I can’t tell you how immeasurably valuable it has been to be able to access so much and be able to continue through the progress I feel I’m making without worrying about the trial period ending. Just about every other app I’ve ever used (besides finch) has either been incredibly restrictive with the free access or limit free access to a trial period. I understand it. But it’s refreshing to find one that really is free and awesome!
