Bird Kind

I downloaded this game because I absolutely love birds and I thought it would be perfect. My first couple of weeks were wonderful and I fell in love with the adorable birds, interesting facts, and the relaxing nature of the gameplay. However, the dream bubble event came around and is not only stressful but much more unfair than the previous sprout event. It ruins the fun vibe the game had previously and it’s causing me to lose interest. I have read many other reviews complaining about this event, and the community consensus seems to be that players wish to go back to having sprout events only. The developers seem to notice and acknowledge these opinions but it has been months and it is still incredibly frustrating. I will add that I’ve learned that the dream bubble event can be skipped without much consequence, so I will be doing that in the future instead of uninstalling for now. I really don’t want to delete the app because I love every other aspect, but I will find it hard to justify continuing to play if I no longer enjoy the experience. It’s truly unfortunate because Bird Kind would have been an easy 5-star review for me if not for this one glaring issue.

I was looking for bird games on the App Store and came across this app randomly and ever since I downloaded it I still play it every single day. This is my favorite game on my phone and I love how much effort the developers put into this game. The music, the graphics, the mannerisms of the birds, etc. everything about this game is so amazing. There is always something to do which keeps you busy so you don’t really get bored. I’m a few events into the game now and I think that aspect of the game is amazing for people who already have all the core set birds who want to keep getting more birds spaced out into the future :) One thing for the developers if you guys see this, one problem I run into is that previously when trying to watch an ad to -30 minutes wait time from a food flower to get gnats faster, it didn’t subtract time at all so watching the ad for that specifically didn’t work as intended.

I love this game so much!! Birds are one of my favorite things in the world as a student ornithologist, and considering I also love collection games, this has been a DREAM. The support team for Runaway is so amazing, considering they helped me get back my entire forest (and MORE) when I unfortunately lost it one day. I couldn't be more grateful enough for that on its own! My only ONLY point of criticism is that one of the missions led by the tamarin monkey asks for a bird that can help with ancient Aztec symbols, and says that she knew a South American bird would be of help. I find it important to note that the Aztecs were natives of Mexico and not South America, so birds like the Resplendent Quetzal, Mexican Violetear, or even the Costa's Hummingbird would likely be a better fit for that mission! Otherwise maybe change the wording from Aztec to Inca for more accurate representation? It may seem minor, but I do think it's an important detail worth noting :> Regardless, I've been addicted to this game for the past month and a half, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Thank you for making such an awesome game, I can't wait to see what comes next!!
