This has to be one of the worst, probably the worst, wellness tracking/coaching apps I’ve ever used. Super archaic. Highly glitchy. Not at all intuitive. On the landing page it keeps telling me to check out programs to enroll in despite being actively enrolled in those programs. It just blindly suggests the same programs to me regardless of the appropriateness. For example, I am a fairly healthy male and it keeps suggesting pregnancy health programs and diabetes management programs. Those programs are probably useful for their intended audiences but I’m tired of having to navigate past them every time I open the app. The programs I do participate in constantly fail to update when I enter my progress or sync my health devices. And half the time I am instructed to click on links that simply don’t load. And there’s so much more that I just don’t have the time to go into here. If this were just some random free app, I’d just delete it. But it’s part of my employer’s health program so I want to advise any employers against considering health programs that utilize this app. You’re being marketed something that is simply garbage and absolutely does not serve your employees well.
Always on wellness is a good tool to have especially if you’re already subscribed to Blue Cross Blue Shield. However, the setup process is kind of slow, I got several error messages when I was trying to connect my smart scale and MapMyRun app. However, once you’re in there, it is a decent way to track your weight and the quizzes were informative. I think the health assessment is a bit too detailed, and it timed out on me a couple times. Thankfully, it started me back where I left off instead of making me start from scratch. There definitely needs to be some polishing to the app, but I’m happy to have it as a resource. I switched to this app because I didn’t want to pay for Noom med anymore.
I’ve been using this app for several years through my employer to get points for steps and other tracking. There’s been a lag in the past for my info from Apple to be pulled in but I knew this and would typically log in a few times a week to refresh and make sure everything was there. In the last couple of months though, I have tried refreshing DAILY and still can’t get my info to pull over consistently. I’ve used the “sync now” option within the general FAQ. I’ve pulled down on the fitness page to refresh there. I’ve stopped sharing info from Apple health and then reshared. I’ve had to start deleting this app altogether and reinstalling to get my data to sync up… not really ideal. Not having my points recognizes means I don’t get the bonus payout from my employer. So if I want that, I don’t have a choice but to go through all these steps to get this app to sync. Please fix it. I’ve read many other reviews with similar complaints.
