My scale works. The app has stopped syncing data from apple health since April and I reached out to hume several times about the issue with no resolution. I initially thought it was going to get better when I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 16! It did not matter. I wear a oura ring that syncs perfectly with the health app meaning that I have a constant flow of sleep and activity data. When I get a health report from Hume, I get a score of 236 out of 900 because no activity or sleep data is available. I could let it go if I wasnโt paying for the Hume plus subscription! I am very disappointed in their customer service. Now they are pushing the band, why would I? I am paying for a service I am not getting and the company does not seem to care. So Far this is the worse investment I made on my health this year because I am paying for a device who is feeding me erroneous health score every week. Even though I know the scores are false they still cause me distress. Unhappy customer here Back one year later, customer service took care of the band, they sent me a new one and it has been smooth ever since. I have had some issues with the band missing my sleep sometimes or having some issues connecting, but itโs usually an easy fix. So far, I am satisfied, and I expect that things will improve with time. I would recommend.
I have the Hume Pod and the Hume Band. Overall I like the product. Most of the time it works the way it should, and it gives me really good insights into my health. I love that the app is free, especially since the equipment was quite the investment up front. The things that could be fixed/improved... The Hume Band dies quickly. I'm lucky if it lasts a full two days before needing a full charge again. Also, any time it syncs with the app, if I have any other Bluetooth connected to my phone (including earbuds) it cuts the connection. This is incredibly annoying, especially if I'm on a call and my band decides to randomly sync without any prompting. Suddenly my call will drop or cut out really bad. I've never had any other product do this before. For the Hume Pod, the actual weigh ins take several tries. I've had my products for over a month now, I've watched quite a few videos and have read online reviews as well to find the best way to "weigh in" and it still takes me at least 4-5+ tries. Some mornings I've had to give up and not weigh in because I just don't have the time for it to keep failing on me. The final thing, I'd like to ask for what "normal" or "typical" ranges are. I know everyone is different, but I have a few areas where I am out of range, but I have no clue how far out of range I am. Can something be added in the future for users to see a range of "typical" ranges for each area?
Iโve had my scale since September 2024, so Iโve given it some time before writing a review. My first scale arrived in August, but wouldnโt connect to the app in order to complete setup. I reached out to the company and customer service walked me through troubleshooting steps before making the decision to replace the defective scale with a brand new one (not refurbished). The second scale arrived in perfect condition and I was able to get my app account running smoothly. I love that Iโm able to track my hydration levels accurately now. I completed chemo and radiation last year, so Iโve been using this scale to help me get back in shape and improve overall wellness, which includes hydration. Iโve also compared my results of this scale and app to the InBody readout at my doctorโs office, and itโs very accurate. I ordered an ลURA 4 smart ring yesterday to help me log my sleep and activity levels, so Iโm excited to see how those affect my Hume progress report. This scale has allowed me to challenge not just my weight goals, but also my hydration and fat loss goals with measurable metrics.
Iโm not using a paid version of the app because I really just want to gather data from the scale. I like having all the details and the app includes good information about what each of them mean. I would have given five stars, but at that update a few days ago, it has started to have a few undesirable things: This is fairly minor, but it started showing the dates in the DD-MM European way, rather than the US style of MM-DD. There doesnโt seem to be an option to change it back. Secondly, on the graphs, it now shows all data followed by โkg,โ including things that arenโt even weights (like BMI, metabolic age, and body fat percentage). Itโs not that it has converted the numbers, either - for things that are weight, itโs showing the value in lbs but says โkgโ anyway. My options are set to use pounds but it doesnโt seem to be related to that - they just appended โkgโ to every number on the charts. Finally, and this is the main complaint: it no longer automatically connects and records my data. Before the update, I would just open the app and then step on the scale and it would capture the data. Now, I have to go to โMeโ in the menu, where it says I have no connected devices. But if I click on See All it shows my scale. I then have to tap the device in the app, wake up the scale, wait for it to recognize it again, then tap another button to measure. If those three issues were resolved I would be quite happy with the app! Although, I am a little frustrated that using the scale requires the app, because Iโm not very confident that it will continue to work well.
So Iโve had the FitTrack app for over a year now. (And no I never had the old app to mess with the current.) I have worked with their customer service back and worth for days and we came to no conclusion or just an ignore in response.. I have deleted and reinstalled the app at least 5 times.. and yes I have restarted my phone.. there is a very big problem with this app and scale and it basically makes it just a normal scale that tracks your weight and nothing else.. on top of that you have to put in the weight manually.. what is supposed to happen is you tap โweigh in.โ On the app, then stop on the scale, there are 3 circles that buffer. First one is weight (which works great), the other two donโt work and just buffer until my scale turns off.. they are supposed to log your estimated fat% and other data, then it plugs it directly into your app and youโre done. It worked for me for a few weeks and Iโm not sure if an update broke it or what but itโs been like this for over a year now and still no fix? Itโs very frustrating for paying for this scale and expecting to get these benefits and then it just turns out to be a basic scale in the end. I am open to keep troubleshooting this but I have pretty much put all effort into it. The application just needs to be fixed, but Iโm not sure if I see this happening after a year of issues.. if this problem gets fixed I will change my review.
