I typically do not give reviews. I’m very surprised by this app. I fully expected it to be useless much as any other app I have use such as keto apps, calorie apps, fitness pal pretty much all of them, they were not engaging and I would delete. I used semaglutide about three years ago I lost 50lbs. I ended up stopping it due to cost and eventually gained every-bit back and then some. I downloaded this because I liked the feature of just taking a photo of the food to log it and done. What I found was a surprising app that’s enjoyable to use. I have ended up using it everyday all the features and not feeling super overwhelmed or overly restrictive diet - this for me is now doable. I’m even more surprised I’ve already lost 5lbs my first week. I’m not active, I’m in menopause and my body can gain weight just looking at food - but this thing actually is helping me move the scale - I’m literally very surprised at it. The only thing I would like the developers to add is a mood button ( can be face buttons or something) since I’m supposed to log my mood each day it would be nice to just have a button to click and done. If you on the fence about it I can tell you it works
You know when you’re on your wits end? You have tried everything, your postmenopausal, stubborn weight around your gut and you think you’re eating well? Well, I stumbled onto Foodvisor and said why not let’s give this a try. I realized my relationship with food was less than to be desired. I was eating all right, but not the right amount quantity wise. Foodvisor psychologically walk you through a day of mindfulness. It allows you to set goals for the day. It gives suggestions for your next meal and insights on what you could’ve changed. It works on a four scale, fat, protein, carbs, fiber. And the goal is to fill those circles up with what’s on your plate. It also has colors to remind you that you are making good choices. Blue, teal, orange, red being the worst. It is a smart app and reward you emotionally. It really prepares you to have a better relationship with your food and better choices. I am on my 32nd day I have lost 6 pounds. I also started walking daily. I love this app and I hope it doesn’t end R. George
Foodvisor is an exceptional nutrition and diet app that has truly transformed my approach to healthy eating. With its user-friendly interface and innovative features, it feels like having a personal nutritionist in my pocket. The app's Instant Food Recognition Camera is a standout feature, allowing me to effortlessly track my calorie intake by simply snapping a photo or scanning a barcode. This makes maintaining a balanced diet easier than ever. The personalized nutrition plans are tailored to my unique needs, ensuring I achieve my health goals sustainably. I also love the curated recipe suggestions, which make healthy eating both delicious and exciting. The app's integration with Apple Health is seamless, allowing me to track my activities and progress all in one place. Moreover, the detailed graphs and statistics provide valuable insights into my nutritional habits, empowering me to make informed decisions about my diet. Foodvisor's commitment to continuous improvement is evident in their regular updates, enhancing the overall user experience. Overall, Foodvisor is a game-changer for anyone looking to improve their health and wellness journey. Highly recommended!
I am a TOTAL beginner when it comes to heath and fitness. Before having my daughter, I was genetically blessed to be thin without trying. Post having my daughter, I’ve had a lot of trouble losing the baby weight. I’m not crazy active, so I wanted to start simple workouts, but I also wanted to learn about my nutrition. Let me start by saying: I HATE diets. I abhor them. They are always very restrictive and I find I can’t stick to them for more than a few days. They are just not sustainable for me. For example: One thing I hate about most diets, is that I hate being told I can’t have ANY desserts. I don’t want to eat a whole cake, haha, but I’m certain that one slice on occasion won’t kill me! That being said, I LOVE the food and nutrition information on this app! Nothing is technically banned. Of course it teaches portioning and eating less sugary foods (which is good for you to learn) but if I eat super healthy meals and then decide I want one cookie after dinner, I’m not belittled or “yelled at” for it. It’s an “everything in correct proportions” style of eating and it simply makes sense! The workouts are also very basic. I love that there are demonstrations for moves I might not know and most everything has “easier” and “harder” modifications that you can do if needed. They are also quite short, which for my schedule is fantastic. I’m a mom who works full time and has a side hustle to boot, so my schedule is BUSY! I don’t have time to go to the gym, nor do I want to. I love the ease of having a short workout planned for me already, that I can do ALONE at home. 10/10 on this app.
I love the user friendliness of the app and the design of it encourages you to use it! The lessons are cool too if you’ve never done any nutrition or fitness. The issue is, it’s a fine line to obsessive diet culture and not all that motivating. I downloaded the app and bought the premium bundle because it told me it was going to recommend personalized recipes to me based on my needs and goals and it honestly just gave me a bunch of recipes with smiley faces. Why would I pay extra to get what I can get on Pinterest for free and also be told the food that I’m eating isn’t all that great when it’s actually healthy and meeting my needs. This could create unhealthy relationships with food for people and there should be an option to turn it off and only alert the user if eating the food will make them go over their goals for the day (salt, fat, sugar, ect.). I also don’t care what the research says, having people weigh themselves every day is obsessive. As we know weight fluctuates daily, it may not come off steadily day after day even if you do what you’re supposed to. These alerts should also be optional. You should also get the option to replace it with frequency and what you want to measure. Some people just want to feel better in their clothes. Some are measuring their waistlines. They should be able to check this weekly or bi-weekly. Overall I deleted the app because the premium bundle did not deliver what was advertised and the app didn’t approach food and weight loss in a healthy manner despite the inviting user design.
