I enjoy watching all the different ducks float around the pool while getting to name them all. The little interactions some of the ducks have are neat and the different sounds some of them have are cute. I also love the little secrets around the maps or with some ducks that add even more charm to the game. I do hope the other dlcs from the steam version make it into the mobile version eventually. Unfortunately I do have to take a star off as while I was in the collection menu to rename a new duck, I got a message and swapped out of the app to reply to them and when I returned to the app I couldn’t exit the collection menu even though I could still name my ducks and change what page of the collection menu I was on. So I had to fully exit out of the game which unfortunately made me lose some ducks on that map as I hadn’t saved in a while.
I originally bought it on steam, even though I only had a Mac and would not be able to play it until I eventually got a computer that could run windows, or they ported it to Mac OS. Then today I saw that it was on the App Store and I knew my prayers had been answered, even if not in the way I had originally hoped, but I’ll take it for that sweet rush of Placid Plastic Ducks.
This dropped just in time for our plane ride, and wow—what a lifesaver. I don’t like flying, but Placid Plastic Duck Simulator was the perfect distraction. Thank you so much! 💙 One small improvement I’d love: auto-save. 🙏 Maybe make it a settings toggle for those who don’t want it. Keep the current save slots, but once you’ve manually saved a pool, it could auto-save whenever a duck spawns again. That would be a game-changer. 🛟 Really hoping multiplayer comes to iPad too—maybe once all the pools support it on PC? That would make this game even more fun to share. 🫶🫂
