The game has great graphics and animations and such. Things I would improve is the UI which is hard and clunky to navigate I preferred fish farm 1’s UI for this game it would have to be different but it could be much better. It’s fairly hard to level up maybe a way to speed it up. Also this is a nitpick but I don’t like the ai art. I wish you hired artists or used stock for the stickers and icon. I understand budget in hiring an artist but I think it would have been much better. For some new features maybe add some more building pieces and fish types from the first game snails, seahorses, jellies, rays, starfish and maybe new ones like eels, cephalopods, ocean sunfish, or even stuff like mermaids and fantasy with the prehistoric stuff being added. It has potential. I hope the roster gets to 400 like the 3rd game if even more if you have the money and time.
The game is a massive improvement over the last 3, and coming from someone who religiously played the other games, even 100%ing the first game as a child, this game seems awesome! And it is! The developers should be proud. The models and textures are incredible and the new look of the game as well as the new mechanics and minigames are very fun to play with. Unfortunately, I have some issues. For starters, as mentioned in another person's review, the diving controls need some fixing. When you move your finger too far away, the control pad teleports to it, and stops your movement. AI generated art was also used in the Easter sticker pack and the app icon, which isn't fun in my opinion, but it doesn't hinder the rest of the game, so it's but a minor nitpick. I wish artists were hired, but it's not a big deal right now. The other issue I have is that fish buy/sell prices are based on size and not species, which is nice, but it's a big issue as now it's way more time consuming to get cash. New fish don't seem as special when you unlock them as now you can't mass buy and sell them to get easy cash over a few months. I understand the change, but I wish there was a way to revert it or balance it a bit. Other than that, game is peak. Well done, BitBros. I'd give a 4.9 if I could.
I don’t know how often or if the devs read the reviews, but I hope they do. This game is amazing, a vast improvement from FF3. It is a bit sad that you can’t crossbreed hybrids with other hybrids, but the addition of making fish brackish definitely makes up for it. The graphics are stunning and it runs very well, even on my older phone. I do hope BitBros keeps improving this game and adding creatures too, as I do miss things like snails and seahorses. There is only one thing though that absolutely hope they fix, and it’s the diving controls. Don’t get me wrong, they work well, but I highly recommend putting in an option to lock them in place. I’ve failed so many missions due to the game thinking I moved my finger, which causes the controls to move on the screen and away from where I’m still actually touching. If nothing else, guys, please please please make locking the controls in a spot an option. Despite that one issue though, this game is worth it if you want an aquarium without the real world upkeep.
