Blasphemous

Definitely has a unique art style and separates itself from the dime a dozen other slashers on the market. Music is also solid with its Spaniard touch and is oddly nerving/ relaxing at the same time. I also recommend switching the voiceovers to Spanish, its much more fitting to the overall atmosphere of the game. The cinematic cutscenes are top notch and was ultimately the reason I purchased, very few slide scrollers feature detailed full motion video (it’s a nice throwback to classics Another World/ Flashback etc). The only issue Ive encountered so far is my edited control layout. Works fine after editing but when app is closed then relaunched the button input spacing somehow glitches out. The buttons don't move visually but the input location is not accurate. The Fix:: Every time I start the game I slightly move one of my customized buttons just a little to get it to register then save and it recalibrates and all inputs back to normal.

This game is running smoothly and I’m having a blast playing it, however there’s some problems with controller registration, for some reason my right trigger button (R2) doesn’t seem to work at all (which mind you is a very important button since it’s the dash button) however I did some minor changes in the settings and adjusted it to the point I don’t require to use (R2) at all, and to assure you the controller doesn’t have any issue itself because I tried my second controller and it also had the same issue, even though I personally don’t mind it because the mapping of the controller wasn’t really working for me anyway, other than that the game is great and I hope this issue can be patched by later updates (the controllers I used was ps4 controllers)

TLDR: all issues fixed, this is a fantastic port, works incredibly well. If you enjoy metroidvania style games this one is easily number one on this platform. Easily 5 stars. If you haven’t played it, the game is incredible, masterclass metroidvania. I previously submitted a review with a few complaints, only a few hours later there was an update addressing every complaint I had and more. Previously I had mentioned a black bar around the game screen making the game smaller but the update added a setting in the video settings that expands the game screen to fit your phone screen which is great. They also fixed the button icon issue so now the game properly displays the correct buttons for my controller, there were also some various UI improvements that make the menus look better. There’s now a button mapping on controller for opening the map so you don’t have to use touch controls to open the map. The look of the touch controls are also improved, you can now also customize all the touch controls and move them and the movement stick is not anchored it moves to wherever your thumb touches.
