The app is easy to use especially for new users. I like that it has guided features that can assist users find answers to questions regarding their needs and equipment.
The first step is to trust yourself and the app will help you do the rest. Plus Verizon Fios is just a phone call away to assist you with whatever questions you might have.

I was offered the Verizon Home app in my Verizon Wireless app since I have 5G Home service as part of my account. Every time I have tried to use the Home app, it says I don’t have a valid router or gateway even though it’s on my Wireless account. I was hoping some basic tech steps could be done on this app instead of having to go through the Wireless app, login, go to home, reload the home info, THEN can do troubleshooting or speed tests. This is very disappointing that the main point of the app and it doesn’t work. If I can’t use the app since I have my 5G Home as part of my wireless account which even gives me a discount, then no reason to keep the Home app. I have filed for the “I have an issue” reporting that can’t use the app and still hasn’t been fixed.

The “my Verizon” app is super slow and annoying. Was hoping for better with this app so i can control/group devices and run parental controls. Unfortunately, since home network detection was already setup in my “My Verizon” app, this app says I can’t use it to group devices etc. not sure whether to turn off the home network detection on the other app or not and whether this new app will let me setup better family controls…
