Raven: Slow Messaging

The app is what it says, and it’s pretty cute how they have it. At the moment it still feels like they’re playing with what should happen with it but in a good way in my opinion. I like that you can get different animals as your couriers and that they have different speeds. I think it would be fun if you were able to see and decorate your castle as well maybe too. And if there were more achievement opportunities to get. All in all it’s a fun and cute app that’s worth giving a try

Choose your cute courier and thus how quickly your message will arrive! Stylize and choose the font for your message on old-fashioned parchment paper! Collect cartoon stamps in your passport as you send messages near and far! Most of all, bring back the joy and anticipation of writing and receiving mail! When has sending and receiving messages been so much fun??!!

Raven is the best app ever! I didn’t even know I needed this—to slow the pace and pressure of constant instant messages and feeling obligated to reply immediately. Regular texting feels corporate now. Raven is like sitting by the fire with your quill pen writing to a friend. And it brings distance back into the equation. We forgot that time and distance go together. I love anticipating a letter and then finally getting it. I love watching the cute messenger animals making their way to me from far away. And watching mine go forward into the world toward a friend. Im becoming obsessed with this incredibly slow messaging
