Attempting to move out of gables was such an atrocious experience that it soured my entire 15 months living there. They intentionally locked a fire exit to make it more difficult to move out on our moving date, and we had to involve the fire marshal to resolve this obvious violation. At every turn we gave them the opportunity to do the right thing, but it took escalating to the authorities just to allow us to move out of our apartment. In addition they were incredibly rude and unforgiving when it came to my parking pass, which I had loss due to the totaling of my vehicle. They deemed the fact that I did not grab the sticker out of my smashed vehicle to return to them a “security risk”. They fined me $25 and at every level of management said their hands were tied and that they were unable to remove the fine. I would recommend anyone moving to Dallas avoid the gables properties.
My experience has only been positive since I moved in. Jessi worked with me every step of the way and went above and beyond to not only make me feel welcome, but also at ease. I had a request for a maintenance and it was taken into account. she took care of it personally, She’s fantastic. one of the things I liked about the community is the cleanliness, the peace and everything is wonderful and beautiful in the neighborhood. This is what I was looking for from inside the apartment as well as from outside the neighborhood and I will recommend everyone to come and sign their lease here.
I’ve only been here since 8/1/20 and have been extremely annoyed with an A/C unit outside of my bedroom window. I have put in numerous requests and complaints about the constant loud noise day and night (interrupting my sleep and work during the day), only to be told the compressor needs to be replaced and it will take 6 weeks for the part to come in. I can understand a delay due to COVID (which seems to be an excuse for everything these days), but my frustration lies with the management office in not communicating with me. But here’s a thought....perhaps the part could have been replaced by one in a vacant unit (silly me)!! I had to send several e-mails, countless phone calls and appearances at the office. I would have appreciated someone reaching out to me, instead of me always inquiring about the status. Overall, I like the complex, but not pleased with their communication skills. I have 11 months to go on my lease and if this is any indication of how my stay will be here, it won’t be a pleasant one.
