My dealer recently upgraded my entire system so it runs on X4. My family really loves the updated look, the new home page and the ability to change all kinds of automation without needing to call a technician for every little thing. One thing we found is that the system is only as good as the company installing it. I recommend finding a dealer that specializes in Control4 and only Control4. One improvement we’d like to see Control4 bring back is the ability for each family member to be able to customize their app, favorites etc. on their mobile device.
Spent over 20,000 for this feature 7 months ago and it still doesnt work despite smart home company working with you the entire time - worked directly with an engineer at your company and this still doesnt work / it still constantly freezes and we have to reach out to our smart home installer company so they can do whatever it is they do to get it to work. We are sick and tired of your stuff not working correctly and consistently. We want this specific issue fixed for us or we want our money back and will give you your faulty freaking equipment back, which btw, had been rma’d multiple times. I want an engineer to come out and fix this - no more wasted hours talking with our installers - you need to he boots on ground with them and figure it out and fix it. Youve monitored it and pulled the logs and it still doesnt work. Fix it!
Issues on the consumer app side. ShairBridge not appearing under the listen tab on homepage without dealer deleting the service and adding it again for me (tried doing this myself). Routines often failing to download. Arrange and remove favorites on the home page also seems to not allow any options.
