Intercom Anywhere

Works fine to check the front door but when someone rings the doorbell it won’t stop! So before you answer the door you have to hunt your phone down otherwise it will ring for the next year. Please put a feature that lets you limit how many times it rings. Also, a motion alert would be cool too.

There is no video. It’s motion sensor so you can only see the person at your door in real time. Also the notifications don’t open the app so there are multiple steps to see the person and you have to be at your phone at all times and move quickly to actually catch the person at your door! Also, there is a separate app so it’s not integrated with the Control4 app - you need two apps so it doesn’t feel integrated - which is the purpose of a home automation system!! Not as good as Nest or Ring and costs 2 to 3 times the amount for the service - I’m disappointed!! I didn’t get those services because I wanted it all integrated and not have to use separate apps - but I end up separate apps anyway. Hopefully Control4 will fix that and integrate them all together. Also doesn’t work when you are on the phone!

Only thing that will keep me from going down from a 5 star rating is C4 releasing new hardware in the near future that trumps what was recommended during the announcement over a year ago that I had upgraded to just for this. Since the day this was announced I have been waiting and wondering if it would meet the description given to it by Control4. I would say it not only meets them but far exceeds them. If you are having problems I recommend looking at the ISP setup and speeds as well as the network your hardware relays on as both play a huge part in this apps performance.
