Pentair Pool

Works so far for basic stuff like lights on/ off and a few colors. You can program light schedule but only for either weekend (Sat/ Sun) or weekdays (all other days) but that’s it. You can’t for example program it for Friday and Saturday night only or multiple times in a given day. The solid color options are very limited and there is no way to really adjust them beyond what’s there. Well actually I think I figured out a trick where you can start one of the “party modes” where colors are included (like orange) and then lock in one one to “hold” it there. But this color can then not be saved as an option- you have to trick it again later. This is not a good way to have to go about this in 2025. I would like to see a color selector option where you can customize and then save whatever color you want to a “favorites” to then use. Also the “party mode” has these pre set color combo’s it will modulate between: again I’d have expected an option here to make a custom one including what all colors it will include and how long each color is displayed. This may seem like asking for a lot but these seem like software limitations only which could be expanded on so we can do whatever light color we want and program them for whenever we feel like. I should be able to program it to display a different color or combo “party” mode every day of the week and maybe even different times/ colors within the same day with a better app design.

I installed the intelliconnect last week and was able to get it set up fairly quickly. I have a solid WiFi signal, so had no issues with getting it connected to WiFi and the app. I made a mistake in the app in setting up my single speed pump up correctly that caused the it to not recognize it as the main filter pump so the heater would never turn on. I worked with the support group over a couple of calls to figure out what was wrong and they were eventually able to find my mistake. Appreciate their dedication to getting it up and running. As far as the app it seems stable and usability is good. Since the app collects the BTU info in the furnace it would be great to get some furnace run time and estimated usage details. Also I noticed whenever I click on the air temp it asks me to do an address update. Not sure why it keeps forgetting my address. This is the reason for 4 stars vs 5. Overall a good product. Also please add Apple Watch support for just Intelliconnect - would be useful.

At first I was livid that they kept pushing the new app only for it to completely take my system offline. For a few days we had no ability to use our spa. I finally went into our pool shed where the main box is housed and did it manually. That was still crappy but at least we could go in. I text my pool install guy but no response. I’m assuming because everyone was messaging him. I emailed Pentair about the issue and they did respond in a timely manner. I had to close out the app completely and reload it. The system was live again and working!!! The new app is different but all the features I had on the last one I have now. I’m happy everything is working now !
