WhiteCoat

One would think that Covid would be a catalyst for teleconsultations. Judging by my experience with WhiteCoat today, it was not. Registration for myself was easy and the app allowed me to enter medications I needed to make the consultation more efficient. After a short wait my phone rang telling me it was my turn to see the doctor. Unfortunately the doctor could not see my video (I could see him) and had to end the consultation. I initiated a new consultation but had to re-enter medications (!!) after another short wait I am admitted to see the doctor (who can see me this time). The doctor then proceeds to read through my medications one by one saying doesn’t have them (or a generic equivalent) … these are medications I get from my GP readily on a physical visit. I’m still holding out hope for a digital health future. Based on my experience today, WhiteCoat may not be the ones providing it.

This is one of the amazing apps with all round amazing service from the WhiteCoat team. The support team is one of the best who go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure patient satisfaction. I had an issue to link AIA and WhiteCoat took it among themselves to resolve it, without me asking them to do. Same when I wanted to get the medicines urgently for my kids, they delivered it by grab express. Awesome doctors too. Will be my goto service for all my family members.

Overall I enjoyed this experience. The screening check was quick and efficient (35 minutes instead of the usual multiple hour annual screening checks!) . Report was easy to understand, and the Video Call with a doctor was really good. I love the fact I have my report digitally, so much easier to store and retrieve.
