Oneleaf: Health & Relaxation

First, I should start by saying I’m someone who has found hypnotherapy very helpful in the past. I decided to try this app because I found myself stress eating and needed support. While others have complained about the price, this app has so many pre-recorded sessions and different topics to support you that I was frankly shocked. There are 296 sessions for weight loss alone; 64 for managing stress; 90 for confidence. That’s impressive. Having paid for hypnotherapy before I find the app incredibly valuable. The cost is a fraction of working with a hypnotherapist and accessible whenever I need it. Also, the content is good; you don’t always know what you’re getting when you’re looking for a new practitioner. However, and this is a biggie, I find the voices annoying. So much so that it distracts me from being able to focus on the session. I know for some, that a sweet, slow, gentle voice works but those on the app are cloyingly sweet- more like I’d expect to hear someone read a story to or console a child. I don’t mean to speak ill of the narrators but I feel like I have a millennial influencer guiding me which is cringe. I’d prefer it sounded like a professional adult therapist was talking to me with calm confidence and authority. Even better, make it a soothing black woman’s voice, or warm rounded voice of an older woman. I mean, not a bad thing to hear this through the voice of a soothing mature woman.

I started using Oneleaf to support my weight loss journey, and I’m honestly amazed at how quickly it’s working on a subconscious level. After listening to a session about choosing foods already available at home, I found myself naturally making that decision without effort. Normally, after a long workday and late night, I’d grab fast food on the way home—but after the session, it was like that option didn’t even feel appealing anymore. It’s incredible how quickly these tracks rewire my thinking and help me align with my goal of being healthier. Beyond weight loss, I’ve found other tracks incredibly valuable, too. The stress and anxiety sessions have been a lifesaver after tough days, and the pain relief track for headaches is nothing short of a miracle. I never expected an app to have such a powerful impact on my daily habits and well-being, but Oneleaf has proven to be a true game-changer. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for lasting, positive change!

Update 9/5: The developer graciously refunded the charges for the subscriptions that I didn’t intend of signing up for. There was definitely some confusion on their site and I don’t think it was initially clear that I was signing up for an immediate subscription. I’m glad they are willing to hear feedback and resolve issues. Update 7/31: I received a response from the developer stating it’s completely impossible to be charged immediately for a 7-day free trial because the system works perfectly. I don’t exactly believe it’s perfect given my experience and the fact that I was offered a free trial, not once but twice and then charged immediately for two memberships. As requested, I emailed the developer and hopefully they will resolve this by issuing a full refund for the charges that I incurred. I signed up for the 7-day free trial and I was immediately charged for the membership. I tried to file a claim for a refund and it was denied. Don’t sign up for a free trial if you don’t any to make an immediate purchase. Very disappointed.
