GiftAMeal

Discovering and using GiftAMeal has been such a rewarding experience. The app itself could not be more user friendly and easy to use. Everything is clearly labeled and self explanatory. Each time I upload a photo onto the app of the food I’m eating at a GiftAMeal partner restaurant, a meal is donated locally to someone in need. This allows me to dine at restaurants that care about the community and are seeking to make a positive, social impact. It really is a “win-win” - I get to take pictures of the food I love, while at the same time giving back to those around me. The app is also particularly helpful when choosing where to eat given it allows you to search by location, cuisine, or even amenities available. In short, I cannot recommend this app enough!

***UPDATE*** I heard for the app developers very quickly about my issue. Within one week, I have now heard from them again with the good news that they have fixed their issue (I haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet). WOW! With attention to customers like this, I am convinced they have done what they said. BTW — they donated three meals since I was unable to use the app. The app shows where I am currently dining, but GPS keeps timing out. I tried to take a picture of my plate, but it never goes to the camera. I tried to scan my receipt, but it never goes to the camera.

I’ve been using the app a long time and have never been able to give back as much as I do now. While I love volunteering, work makes it very hard to find time. With GiftAMeal, I have been able to help support food banks and shelters in my neighborhood give to those in need by simply checking into restaurants on my lunch breaks. I haven’t experienced any major bugs or issues since downloading the app. Also, I reached out with a couple questions and the team got back to me really quickly. It seems like they really care about their social mission. I would encourage everyone to download and start giving back. It’s really easy to use.
