I love this game and play often with my friends. It incorporates the base game of Catan along with elements of the expansions (Seafarers and Cities and Knights). It improves on some gameplay elements that make it much easier to play sync- especially the trading (no trading with other players, but 3:1 with the bank instead of 4; military is simplified against barbarian attacks; etc). The new rules take a little getting used to if you’ve played lots of Catan, but then it’s more fun IMO. Some gameplay elements could still be improved, like some of the resource cards that can become OP late in the game on larger maps. But overall it’s a great strategy game that I prefer much, much more than the other Catan apps and sites out there.

I really love this game. I’ve been telling lots of friends about it so there will be more people to play with. I usually play against the bots and something extremely frustrating keeps happening. They are almost unbeatable. Typically there is one bot that absolutely skunks me and the other two bots. I feel like I’m playing at a pace that is fun and competitive with two of them, but one is always too good. Sort of takes the fun out of it. I wish the bots were more evenly matched with me.

I read some of the reviews and I will say we really enjoy this game I like the fast pace of it and I like the mechanics. I’m not sure i understand how you get recourses or what the gold do except give you a random resource . The bots cheat and there are some nefarious stuff going on with them. Example they just seem to get all the resource cards exactly the ones they need to win where you are stuck with the ones that don’t help you. Also something is up with the attackers I can have more military and I still lose. So I’m the end my husband and I find it’s better just to play without the bots as they are not a good match because you cannot win against them . But overall I really like this better than catan universe ( am I allowed to say this name? ) anyway keep going guys !
