Ever since I have used the WEconnect app, I have been able to make and keep doctors appointments. Accept invites to gatherings and functions I otherwise wouldn’t have gone to. I would have not made appointments, or called and canceled the ones I made. I never would have gone to any kind of function. I used to only go to the grocery store and to pick up my medication when absolutely necessary. I stayed at home all the time. I rarely got dressed. I wouldn’t take a shower but maybe every three days because I figured I didn’t do anything, why should I. I’m taking a shower every other day at least now. I can’t wash my own hair because of arthritis in my shoulder so I go to the hairdresser. I rarely did that before. My point is, having a community in the meetings and the “one on one” peer has helped immensely with my self esteem and the support I needed to be able to do the things that I needed to accomplish everyday, every week and month even. They say one day at a time, but I’m able to now make plans for the future and it feels great. I also know that WEconnect is there if I have a bad day and I need to talk. That means a great deal. I hope it will always be around and I’m able to utilize the app. Thank you WEconnect for all your support and all you are doing.

I definitely think the app is a great idea n actually gave me more incentive to stay clean but than I recently had lost my insurance cuz of a mix up thru the Medicaid system, so I go to get on my app n ask if there’s anything I can do or if there was any help for ppl without insurance until I figured out what else I was gonna do, but I couldn’t get on my app cuz as soon as they found out I had no insurance my account was deactivated by them, I couldn’t believe that happened cuz I thought it was legit n they actually cared about me but thankfully I stayed clean and now I’m gonna be back to where I was, so I’m glad I was strong enough to stay clean and didn’t need y’all to help me thru it cuz u dumped me as quick as I lost my insurance

Helps you stay motivated to stay on tasks and keeping yourself busy so you don’t relapse. You have tons of support. You make your own daily tasks that keep it up daily and don’t fall behind and you get rewarded for it which gives you even more of a reason to stay on track cause you don’t only benefit from making yourself happy and being proud of yourself you make your family proud of you also and you get a reward also. It gets you into a stable routine nothing is more satisfying than making yourself proud and your family too. Which is very important to me idk about other people.
