SuppCo: Supplement Scanner

Love the mobile app. However, it would not work in WiFi at my home. The reason is I use a DNS protection service. Suppco was being blocked because they have it categorized as a proxy. I added an exception and it works now. So if you are having this issue some security products may be blocking the domain because of this incorrect classification. Assume other product might use the same intel feeds to make these decisions. Keep up the good work helping me make my supplement choices better!

Just installed this app, but it will only load when using cellular data, and fails to load on WiFi! This is troubling because I only use cellular data in emergencies and then only temporarily for a couple necessary apps. Everything else is home-WiFi only. I employ OpenDNS and strict local DNS filtering as a routine part of my home network’s layered security protocols, prohibiting connections to dubious servers and trackers, like doubleclick, googleanalytics, etc. My filters are mature and maintained monthly so I rarely get false positives. Next I tried to contact the developer through their app support link, but my DNS filters blocked the connection to their SuppCo website. This tells me that there may be a security or certificate issue with the website itself, or it is being co-hosted on a server farm or domain that is so full of unrelated malicious content that I have blocked them entirely. In any case, the app is unusable and I have uninstalled it until if/when I get this security issue sorted out. OMG…I LOVE this app! I have struggled for so long trying to determine the right combination of supplements to meet my health needs. I did not know how much to take of each, when to take them, or if I was taking the wrong ones together. This app has allowed me to maximize what I take, and also reduce how much I spend by allowing me to choose options that don’t give me too much of certain supplements. It covers all the herbs and non traditional supplements as well. And if something is not in the database, just enter all the info for that supplement (super easy) and they add it within a few days. It has recommended protocols for the most common health needs, and even analyzes your stack and tells you how you are doing in meeting your goals…with detailed suggestions for improvement! I seriously cannot believe this app is FREE! I tried another paid app before this that did not do half of what this one does. If I had one suggestion for improvement for the developers…it would be great to have the ability to save more than one stack…that way you could create a new stack to see how different products affect your overall score, without having to find and add them to your stack again if you need to. Another option would be having a way to favorite specific products, so you could find them easily. Otherwise, this app is just PERFECT! THANK YOU SuppCo…this app is saving me so much time, effort, and money.
