I was really struggling with my mental health but I didn’t have health insurance. I was able to get an antidepressant that actually worked (I’d tried several through doctors in the past that did not). After taking for about a year and a half I was able to make changes in my life and relationships that have led me to a better place, and I weaned off the medication a few months ago. I’m really thankful for this company that provides a way around the typical healthcare industry which seemed insurmountable to me when I needed help the most. With all that said I DEEPLY RESENT their relentless marketing campaign hammering me with ads to lost weight with their version of “ozempic.” The female psyche has endured enough degradation as the hands of companies who want to sell us products, and this campaign is just another wave of that. Advertising that a size 4 needs medication, and I even got an ad about a woman who wanted to end her life because she was overweight. This is despicable, and all companies hammering this weight loss “miracle” should be ashamed. Hers included.
The “doctors” hired by this app do not properly explain the risk or side effects or give reasonable information for the drugs they are prescribing. You will most likely get a diagnosis that an in clinic doctor would not have given you. This is because this is functioning as sole for profit industry that does not have your well-being or healthcare in mind. They are selling a subscription service which is not made very clear. Furthermore there is not proper. Follow up through your “doctor” to tell if the prescribed medication is working for you so they will send you an order that you did not approve of. They do the thing that when you try to cancel your subscription they prompt you with many windows and the “cancel subscription” button is buried at the bottom of the window, not as an obvious hyperlink in the hopes that you’ll get confused and not actually cancel your subscription. You’re very dubious practices. They also make it very difficult to get a hold of customer service. If you call there will be no one available to take it will be suggested that you start messaging via their app or website, but if you go to, either of those places, there’s no way of initiating messaging other than via email. When I tried to cancel an order that (I didn’t not approve) was still in process and did not even have a tracking number associated with it I was told they would not be able to, and when I said that I will refuse the parcel from USPS customer service simply ghosted me.
I ordered meds for weight loss through this system. The options available were only 5 months of supply. After 5 weeks on the system of medication I was sent, I had some type of hives breakout. I didn’t assume it was from the medication as I had been on it steadily for 5 weeks. I first went to get bloodwork done to see if I had a late onset allergy. I also messaged in app to notify about the issue. The only response was “stop taking the medication, wean off your dose, and look for safe disposal.” I messaged back that I didn’t believe after 5 weeks I would have some skin issue suddenly. They said in so many words “doesn’t matter, wait for your pcp results. Don’t take the meds.” I asked about a refund for the remaining medication that I had been required to order via their 5 month plan as their only advice for me gaining weight and having and adverse reaction was “just like with any prescription, we can’t predict how patients will react to the medication. As with other prescriptions you will not receive a refund, we cannot offer one either.” To their point, other prescriptions are only 30 days (generally) and you pay for 30 days in case you have some type of reaction. Ridiculous premise and a scam system. I should have read more of the reviews before jumping in to this. I would not recommend any of their services based on the interactions I’ve had with the weight loss system (and now reading more of the reviews for the other medications they offer.) Good luck out there, ladies.
