Good game but latest update causes ads to freeze up

Latest update: Very frustrating that ads freeze up when you try & close them which causes you to lose rewards! The updates have added more content and characters which is great and the game looks beautiful but they still haven’t fixed duplicate characters when summoning. I wouldn’t mind it it was limited to 2–3 duplicates, but I have summoned the same characters 4+ times. I would rather pay cash for new characters A lot of grinding required. I wish there was a way of cashing in extra lower level champions towards gold and summoning stones so you can use them to purchase more summoning stones for a chance for better weapons and/or Champions Update: This is a good game that could become a great game with a little tweaking. I loved the previous Warhammer Quest and Warhammer Quest 2 games, and played both it through with all the characters, including the premium characters you paid extra for. This is a different type of game than those two. Gaining new characters require collecting enough summoning stones, which are very slow to gain without spending money. The premium characters cost more to summon (250 stones vs 100 stones for a normal summons) The advantages of the “Epic Summon” are that the characters can increase their levels further and have additional “boons” or perks which can be used to strengthen and customize your character further. My issues are that even when you obtain enough summoning stones, the summoning seems random and you get duplicate characters. You can scrap/sell back unwanted characters (for experience points that you use to advance your characters) and items (for gold). The problem is that you don’t get much experience points for scrapping a duplicate or unwanted character. I wish you could scrap champions for either, a portion of their summoning stones you spent or experience points (and more than the measly amounts you currently can get) I also wish the game would NOT allow duplicate character classes until you have obtain one of each class. Those two changes would greatly improve the game IMHO.

Buggy and boring

(Update) Well the progression bug at least was fixed, but I still ended up deleting the game. Then I saw the dev's response and thought I'd try once more. It got worse. I couldn't connect to the server. Tried multiple times on different days. Then I deleted and reinstalled the game again, and now my progress is lost, even after signing into gamecenter. Yeah, I'm done. Lame. Was really excited when I saw this, and at first I thought it was awesome. Nice art, music, sound, and overall production. But then as I got into playing, I realized how poorly done the game is. Dungeons are all basically the same - a short linear path with a few obstacles and a few enemies. Only goals being to either kill all the enemies or kill some and get to the escape zone. Very minor rewards. Nothing to pick up or loot in the dungeon. Champions have one attack and one skill they can use every couple turns, and enemy AI seems pretty stupid (even bizarre/random at times, as sometimes the enemies will just move away to some random spot before moving back the next turn to attack), thus involving little real strategy. So gameplay quickly gets repetitive and dull. And on top of that, there's a major bug that prevents progression, in which upon ordering a champion to move, he starts the move but doesn't complete and gets stuck, forcing you to quit the game and start the level over. It happens randomly but often enough to be a real problem. Unbelievable that the game was released with such a major bug.

Perchang captures the magic of the best iOS game ever

The original Warhammer Quest mobile game is, to this date, easily my favorite iOS game of all time. It perfectly captured both the feeling and the style of the board game while being simple and enjoyable enough to work well on a touch screen. Perchang seems to be what came of the developer of that game, Rodeo. Perchang’s first venture, Warhammer Quest II, was fine enough, but kind of cumbersome. It really lost the magic and feeling of the original game. This version seems to almost entirely recapture things. We’re missing the map, and we have a new system of micro-transactions (or macro if you’re a whale, I guess), but those actually line up pretty well with the Silver Tower board game. To be frank, this game is basically exactly what I wanted from them. It needs to be a little easier to collect characters and gear, and we probably need some more enemy variety, but otherwise, I’m loving all of it.
