I had a very difficult time getting an existing save stop from being over written, especially after purchasing a few in game bundles. Devs got it straightened out in this most recent update. The problems were specific to google sign-in/out. Never had a single issue on my main Apple ID game save, and that’s what I strictly play from now. The drop rates from recruiting heroes needs further improved and more energy past 15/15 yet to make this game 100% 5 star great. I believe they are able to continue to listen to feedback and get there soon. So it’s 5 stars for me if those can be addressed this month.

This is basically “Man or Vampire” for idiots. The “combat” is about as advanced as red beats blue which beats green which beats red, or the tiny battlefield is so cluttered that maybe one of your units can’t reach anyone so you have to do your buff yourself or party ability which you can do for free instead of attacking. Or one of your units has to spend an entire turn to break a barrel-which why are there so many barrels that exist in this land?-just so you can get to the last enemy because everything is so cluttered. This game should be called “The Mad Carpenter“ whose evil plan is to fill the world with barrels so nobody can walk around and everyone has to awkwardly shuffle sideways to move. Positioning doesn’t matter, I mean, whichever unit you kind of put in front gets targeted kind of? But sometimes they decide to just focus one person in the backline which they can just do because the battlefield is so so so small. Again, positioning doesn’t matter. All the units have the same attack power and range and hitpoints, no penalties for being near an enemy, moving past an enemy, being surrounded by enemies, attacking from the front, side, etc., etc. etc. I’m really wondering where the tactics are here, other than tactically opening your wallet.

I am a veteran of tactic (and gacha) games and love them. I’m also a huge fan of high fantasy/steampunk. I also love the intense, dark line art style. By all accounts, this game should have stuck with me for MONTHS.
I gave this game a shot over the course of the week, and will prob play it out to a month to get the month login reward- but it just feels outright flat. There is no depth, I literally have not thought anything has been difficult, including the arena. As long as you go first (you always do when attacking) you WILL win by knocking out 1-2 opponents before they can act. The maps and skills are somewhat interesting but I really don’t feel as if they determine whether or not I will succeed. I don’t have to preplan my moves. I’ve tested having the game play for me and despite losing heroes (which happened 1 or 2 times the entire time I was in control) more often, I literally never lost?
The grind seems like it could give way to something cool, but I just don’t feel motivated to do much? Even pulling heroes falls flat. I summoned 30-40 heroes and maybe got 2 purple ranked heroes, and maybe 6 blue, which feels SUPER underwhelming (although looks like it matches with %). One improvement there I see most games do is have you pull x heroes/champs you get an increased chance to pull rarer characters.
Pretty disappointed overall, I got this preordered and understand this has been live globally for a good bit, so I was expecting more :/
