I have been transported,

To another world of Might and Magic. Where the elements of nature have become weapons for good and evil, the undead fight as an army, and dragons reign the skies. Like a real game I spend hours on, I’ve been playing this for just under a month. It is a “gacha” game (free-to-play) AKA “pay-to-win”. Its just not the case. I’ve spent money on this game simply because I enjoy it and love it and the strategy element hits EVERYTHING I love! I have never played M&M before but since it was by Ubisoft, thought I’d give it a shot. I was not disappointed, in fact, a little upset that I had missed out on something this good for so long. I’ve been a gamer my whole life, this game brings in elements for so many different strategies, it’ll keep ANYONE busy. They have a classic “honeycomb” strategy game called “guild adventure” that is just awesome! I’ve read it’s suppose to represent that ORIGINAL game, within reason of course. Either way, this game is very enjoyable. I love that you can overcome enemies (PvP & AI) with strategy regardless of “power level”. Great MOBILE game in my humble gaming opinion.

There is a lot of potential here, some real promise, and there is new content being introduced fairly often, but the new content doesn’t seem to be polished enough or contribute more to the game experience. As of now it’s banking on nostalgia alone, there is no way to get some of the creatures you could otherwise recruit, there is many game modes one of witch is an open exploration you embark on with your guild, but you can’t really talk to anyone due to how limiting 53 characters can be for your guild chat/world chat. The dwellings you find are limited to a very small handful and do not rotate, im sick of finding sprites everywhere, I’d like to find something new. There are two factions missing from the original games so there’s still room from expansion, but you won’t be able to enjoy the wrath of black dragons or hydras when/if they are ever included. The in game lore doesn’t bring much to the table, they should have used Tarnum from the Chronicles series and gave him a comeback, when he already has more lore than anyone else in any of the other games in the franchise (just seemed like a missed opportunity) you don’t really have to pay to play but if you invest in the VIP pass once it really helps you out and get started faster. It’s not exactly pay to win but it’s not completely free to play friendly either, the one good thing is how available gems are (in game currency). The servers aren’t too reliable they will and have a tendency to go down for hours at a time. It’s far from polished, but I may revisit this game in the future.

Unique IOS Gem

I play a lot of freeware games where you collect heroes to make your team better and I usually enjoy them, even if most get old after a month or two. This one has the unique spin of letting you control units with multiple soldiers and strategically laying them out in a formation you choose. As you level you unlock slots on the whole battlefield for more units. It genuinely feels different from the other games I was talking about, for example Idle Heroes, because you can raise the star level of most units to become useful alongside your rarer units which balances the game and keeps all of your units useful in Different situations. The game is generous (so far) with evolution material as well, encouraging you to level your team evenly instead of beefing up one all star team and sacrificing them when you get better heroes. It’s very enjoyable and I highly recommend checking it out and seeing if it’s for you. Also, the paid content feels fairly integrated and not stacked against free users (it feels optional if you’d like to buy something rather than you never having the chance to get rarer heroes if you don’t spend money). The benefit for buying something vs earning it is that paid packs come with kit to raise the star level of your unit, which is nice.
