I have a current iPhone SE and have used the app since 2015, first with my original HAβs and since December of 23 with my new slim aids. The app worked fine until I updated my iPhone with iOS 18. The app would occasionally not open. With the latest iOS update the app wonβt open at all. It displays a white screen for about a minute and then drops back to the phone home screen. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app but still will not open. I was tempted to try the Signia app but was concerned that it might mess with the HA settings. Help would be appreciated. Thanks
I think the app has some pretty good features attached to it. I would have given it a 5 βοΈ review but (for me) I am having trouble understanding what is said electronically. For instance, if someone is speaking over an intercom system, like at a school or an airport, it comes out very unintelligible for me. Also, our churchβs PA system (which was just recently replaced with a state of the art new one) comes out about the same way. We were having a meeting the other night and people from the congregation could speak if they would wait for a microphone to speak into. A gentleman was sitting 2 rows behind us and I clearly heard him say he wanted to speak and would wait for the mic. But, when he started talking it was not clear at all. My wife said she understood him fineπ«€. This morning, I asked Alexa to play a song. I was having trouble understanding the words so I went over and stood in front of the Google Echo speaker and still had trouble understanding the words. I realize all 3 of these events are random events and anything could be wrong with where Iβm sitting, the enunciation of the words, the voices themselves or a plethora of other variables that always plague our listening experience and environment. My question is: Would it be possible to add an equalizer to the app so we could adjust the sound at the particular moment and according to the external environments we find ourselves in?
Iβve had my hearing aids now for about a month and just recently started using the TruHearing App instead of the iPhone settings menu App. What a wonderful and incredible difference! The App retains my settings, does a much better job of measuring battery strength and allows directional control as well as independent left and right volume controls. Theyβre comfortable and according to my friends, practically invisible. The carrying case and brush/magnet tool get used daily when I put the suds away for the night, clean and ready for the next day. I also received my supply of extra batteries that should last well over a year with my current usage approach. Best of all, I can hear much better under all the circumstances Iβve encountered. Great stuff!
