Superset App

I started using Superset in late 2024 and was immediately drawn to its simplicity and spreadsheet-style programming. My clients loved the clean UI and data visualization, and it was positioned as a more affordable, coach-first alternative to Trainerize—which is exactly what sold me on it. Since then, though, the platform has made some changes that have been tough to justify. Their new pricing structure includes significantly higher costs, with per-client fees that are higher than any other training software I’ve seen. There is also 4% platform fee on all automated payments—on top of Stripe’s standard processing fee. For comparison, other platforms offer payment processing as a flat-rate add-on. The new model increases cost as you grow, without adding meaningful new value. That makes Superset the most expensive coaching app I’ve tested, despite offering fewer features at a higher price point. Canceling also isn’t straightforward—you have to contact support directly instead of managing it yourself, which feels unnecessarily outdated for a SaaS platform in 2025. That kind of friction doesn’t align with a user-first experience. For brand-new coaches with just a few clients, Superset could still be a solid starting point. But long term, coaching tools need to scale with you—and in my experience, Superset just doesn’t. That said, the team has always been kind and professional, and I still believe the platform has potential. I hope they return to the things that made them stand out: transparency, simplicity, affordability, and putting coaches first.

I absolutely LOVE the Superset app! As an online fitness coach, it has completely transformed how I train my clients. It makes my life so much easier—from programming workouts to tracking progress and communicating with clients, everything is seamless. The interface is super user-friendly, both for me and my clients. I’ve had zero issues with onboarding new people, and they’re always impressed by how clean and professional everything looks. It gives my coaching business a premium edge without the headache of juggling multiple platforms. What I really appreciate is how customizable it is. Whether I’m building strength-based plans, fat loss programs, or lifestyle training, Superset handles it all smoothly. The app is fast, reliable, and constantly evolving with features that actually matter. The client experience is top-tier too. They can easily log workouts, track progress, and stay motivated with built-in accountability tools. It saves me hours each week and helps me scale without sacrificing quality. If you're a coach looking to streamline your workflow, elevate your brand, and deliver a better experience to your clients—this is the app. Can’t recommend it enough!

Been using this app for my clients for a few months now and I just love how easy it is for clients to view. The only reason for 4 stars is because it can use improvement in some areas. For example, I’d love an easier way to just save one workout I just created in a previous workout plan I made for a client with just one click of a button, and would like click-and-drag abilities when creating WOPs. Another thing is on the app it will show upcoming and completed workouts and from a coach and client perspective, we both agree it just looks overwhelming when it’s all listed there, especially missed workouts which can make a client feel like they aren’t doing their best. I’d love it to just have a “things to do today” like ONE thing because it looks like a smaller commitment when it’s only one small thing. Anyway, I’m confident in the Superset team to implement something like this because every time I have emailed them they often respond within MINUTES (and im impatient with ADHD so I like that)
