This is my first time using Everfit, however, I have used other online personal training apps in the past that I have enjoyed slightly more, mainly for some simple convenience reasons. Otherwise I have been enjoying the app and think it’s great! 1. I would like to visually see which muscles I should be using each exercise. When I press into an exercise, it gives me a video and a description of the exercise which is great! But I would also like to see a diagram of the human muscle system with the muscles that I should be using highlighted, or something along those lines. This helps people really understand which muscles they should be activating during a workout. 2. I would love if the app gave me a workout overview before I started the workout so I knew which weights to grab before I start as well as the estimated duration of the workout. I can absolutely go through the workout and see what I may need to get and guess how much time it will take me, but if I could see at a quick glance before I started, I think I would be less frustrated because I accidentally missed reading a workout and need to grab a new set of weights. As well as planning out my workout time accordingly by seeing an estimated duration.
This is definitely my least favorite app. If I could give it zero stars I would. The group I do coach with switch platforms, and honestly, if I didn’t love working with my coach so much, I would have immediately quit solely due to this app. It’s very clunky. Takes forever to load or do anything in the app. Why do I have to always double verify that I completed something? I typed in my weigh in, why do I also have to hit the check mark for it to be complete? Why do I have to do the same for when I do my lifts? Also, why the heck is it just one exercise per screen?!? No autofill, I have to scroll to log my reps when it’s just quicker to type. It’s annoying to move around my lifts in the calendar function. I can’t delete a lift, and my optional day is always there so instead of deleting the activity for the week, it just reminds me that I didn’t do something. Also what is the point of me logging my other activities that my coach didn’t program if she can’t even see them?!?! Pointless. The messaging in this app is absolutely awful. I have to click too many buttons to go to one like, like my form feedback, and I can’t see it the week prior so I have to pause my lift, go to my Home Screen, go to my freaking notifications and search there. Very clunky, the interface is absolutely terrible. Why so many app updates when nothing is actually fixed for the better? I swear it just gets worse and worse each time. I now keep an extra log of my weight, scheduled coaching workouts, and other activities in a separate app on my phone in case this thing randomly crashes or I can’t get past the loading screen. Which happens so often. I wish we never switched to this app.
I want to start off by saying I absolutely love this app. It’s great. My coach uses it to give all of his clients everything we need to track our workouts. I don’t use the food / meal section because it seems like it doesn’t calculate everything correctly. My only issue with it is, I wish it would show you somewhere during your active workout you’re doing what your weights and rep ranges were from the previous week. TrainHeroic did that, which is why I liked that app a lot. I would just like to be able to see all prior weights and rep ranges from the previous week. It only shows your weight and rep ranges on the first set but doesn’t follow through from the previous week.
