Benefit of the doubt, starting game today

Like the title says im barely starting the game so im giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. Reason being, if youre like me then not only to you decide to try a mobile game based on the the gameplay images and videos, but a big part of whether or not to try it out is the reviews people give. Normally i wouldnt try a game with how many 1 stars ive seen, but after reading the reviews i came to the conclusion a lot of people gave a stupid reasoning for hating this game. The main reason is “oH iTs NoThInG LikE sTeLlArIs,” which i find is a stupid reason. Yes, it may be vastly different than the game they were tryin to turn into mobile, but that doesnt necessarily mean its a bad game. Take the AC games for example; lots of people hated AC Odyssey and Valhalla simply because they didnt “feel” like Assassin games but more like and rpg. I myself agreed yes they WERE A BAD ASSASSIN CREED GAME, BUT THEY’RE ALSO HELLA FUN, DOPE, AND GREAT GAMES W RPG ELEMENTS. Basically im sayin don’t take these other reviews too much to heart cuz at the end of the day, they called it a bad game because its not Stellaris, basically theyre only calling it a BAD/WANNABE STELLARIS GAME. At the same time take this review im typin with a grain of salt because, like i said, i havent played this game yet but footage ive seen of it looks really fun hence the reason behind why ima give em the benefit of the doubt. After a few days im going to write another review about my experiencenplayin this game and whether i believe yall should get it or not.

Fun Game

A little too many micro transactions, but I haven’t spent any money and am still doing great and having a fun time with it. If they deflate the prices just a little bit I’d probably spend some money on it, because I do really enjoy this game. Has room for improvement, and is built on the same basic mechanics as Nova Empire with their own twist on things. Overall I give it a 5/5 because it keeps me occupied as a game should. There are a few bugs here and there, but there’s a lot of good player interaction. Join a good/big alliance and there’s tons of stuff to do. Could use group missions like the Legions in Nova Empire for some extra fun. If you do your radar missions you get tons of the boosts and speedups that money could be spent on for free. They don’t quite give out enough free premium currency as is done in Nova. The monthly subscription should be dropped by $2-$5 for its worth, but it’s still got some nice bonuses. They should make the annual subscription just be a permanent subscription instead of annual, but that’s okay I guess. Also they need to do something with the Omphalous structures because they don’t do anything yet. TL;DR I like this game a lot even though they could fix a few things.

The names Stellaris and Paradox Interactive set certain expectations for fans of strategy games. Unfortunately, Stellaris: Galaxy Command is yet another shallow, boring mobile clicker game designed to pull money from your wallet like air sucked into the vacuum of space. The game opens with a lengthy cutscene — choose voice-acted and partially animated — that sets a scene of recolonizing the galaxy after an invasion from some unspecified interdimensional threat. Then, the player is unceremoniously dumped onto a screen of a space station orbiting a planet. The player is instructed to place and upgrade shipyards, warehouses, and radar stations. No context for what these buildings do is provided, and each upgrade is just and incremental percentage increase to speed up some timer. The game is training you to get in the rhythm of plunking something down and then pressing a button labeled “Free” to “speed up” the building process, because after five minutes of this busywork, that button suddenly costs a currency. Pay up, or wait the five minutes for it to finish. Those expecting to find any semblance of strategy here — or better, a proper port of this game‘s namesake to mobile devices — will be sorely disappointed. The art assets are the only thing that made the jump. Stellaris: Galactic Command is a wholely different game, and all it requires of you is occasionally pressing buttons to start timers and authorizing purchases to your credit card to speed them up.
