After having shoulder surgery about 5 months ago, I exhausted my PT visit limit with my insurance. I still was struggling with post-op recovery, and I thought I’d give this a try, since my employer offered it. I was pretty skeptical, thinking there’s no way a virtual visit is going to be anywhere near effective. After the initial screening, I had an appointment set up with an actual PT. He was able to review my range of motion and give me a treatment plan. The exercises are easy to follow and I’ve made more progress in a month than I had with in clinic visits. Super impressed with this app/program. It’s not for every situation, as there are absolutely times where in clinic, hands-on visits are appropriate. Again, very surprised this worked as well as it did.
I can rate this app and I can rate it fair as I have been using this and going to see a physical therapist. With this app you really do not need to see a physical therapy in person. A) The live physical therapist within the app is able to judge accurately the bend and straightening of my knee. B) The exercises provided by the physical therapist are adequate and equal to the ones provided by your physical therapist, seen in person, for your injury. C) The physical therapist you see in this app doesn’t cost your medical copay (mine is $80 when I go in to see the physical therapist) I feel the app is so much better thank my in person physical therapist. A) I like the step by step instructions on how to do the exercises. B) The app does each exercise with you and will count with you while you are doing then so you don’t have to worry about losing count. My overall progress in my recovery was overall better than anyone my in person physical therapist has seen thus far in her practice. This was a quote by her and she was so impressed that she actually called other therapist over to show them what I was capable of in the short time following surgery.
This is my first time using this app and I’m already impressed. I have a hernia, diastasis recti, and weak wrist from 3 pregnancies and now a damaged knee from trying to lose the weight from my last pregnancy. Needless to say, creating a workout plan that’s affective and caters to all of my limitations is frustrating. Group classes are difficult because they’re filled with movements I must avoid. Personal trainers lack reparative knowledge (which is how my knee became damaged), and physical therapy is too expensive once the visits exceed the allowed limit by the insurance company. With all those things considered, today I began a search for an app that will help me create a reparative plan to regain control of my body and its limitations. This app was the first on the list and out of the five I downloaded...it proved to be the best!!! I’ve already shared it with a friend and will continue to share with others 😍!
