Iโve only had this app for two days now but I already really like it. I like that it sets a goal of five mind workouts a day but also letโs you do the ones youโve already done some more. A lot of the time Iโm on an app and I feel like I have to keep going but then I look at the clock and Iโve been on it for an hour. This game is different. I can stop after I meet my goal for the day. I also like the quick instructions so you know how to play without having to read a who five paragraphs. It is nice to come home after a long day and just take a quick break and do mind puzzles. The puzzles are also not too hard and not too easy. They also tell you why the correct answer is correct. Lastly, the adds. I realize Iโve only been on it two days but Iโve only seen two adds so far. When I do experience an add it is short and the x appears almost immediately. I have the free version and I feel like the limits are reasonable. There are free games of the week and you can play the ones youโve done in you mind workouts. I think this game is very great.
I bought the pro lifetime account so I could have access to all the games and not have to pay any further subscription fees. I use it every day and feel that it is helping my mind to shake out the cobwebs and sharpen my wits. I also like that the stats allow me to see areas where Iโm strong and also areas where improvement is needed. For example, my problem areas are memory and flexibility so I play games in those categories a little bit extra each day. I also like that it lets me see stats on how I compare to other MindPal users in my same age group. Keep in mind that the stats are available to paid accounts. A request to the developer would be to know how many users it is comparing us to. For example, seeing that it says Iโm X% better is kind of meaningless if I donโt have any idea how many people are being compared. Aside from that, I really like this app and am glad that I got it. Even after playing it 179 days in a row I donโt see myself getting bored with it anytime soon. If you want or need an app to exercise the old bean then I recommend it.
I canโt stop playing this game. Initially, I didnโt want to spend the money on it but got tired of looking at ads. (At least I think this game had ads. Iโve tried several. This is the only one I now pay for.) I also got tired of not being able to play the other three tiers in the daily prompt. Then, one day, I was able to unlock one if I followed them in Instagram. (Clever foxes!) And thatโs how they got me. So I finally said, Fine! Iโll pay for it for ONE year and cancel if I donโt enjoy it. For now, do I ever enjoy it. I spend far, far too much time playing. And whodathunk a game where you simply have to find three matching numbers or letters would be so darn hard AND therefore addictive? Good lord, do I ever waste hours trying to do that one. And the one where you spell words out of shuffled letters? Forget about it. Iโve given up bathing, eating, brushing my teeth; my kids live in absolute filth and eat candy and chips for their meals. Iโve given up on everythingโlifeโall but this game. OK, I mean, not really, but I do enjoy it and for now itโs well worth the amount I spent on it. Thumbs up.
