Merge Gardens

The game is crazy slow to open any icons, like events, menus, and the mini games take f o r e v e r to load. It lags SO bad that sometimes I fall asleep waiting for the match games to open. Other times I just walk away, hoping it will open by the time I come back. There are way too many pop up offers for “free” stuff (not free) and too many demands on the game behind the scenes for it to function properly. Often it just won’t let me click on anything. Dandelions and creatures flying by.. but won’t let me play. Advertising bubbles are constantly popping up, getting in the way, trying to force buying options, and freezing up the game. I get that they need to advertise to make money, but it’s continually in your face. It takes so darn long for their propaganda to load that I have to wait for several minutes for it to load just so I can close their ads. Rinse, repeat.. it’s nonsense. My patience is wearing thin. I don’t bother click on events or any icons because it stops everything from working. ⭐️ ..okay, I am done. This game is pointless. It’s nothing but a big struggle to get anywhere. I’ve played for a few weeks, thinking there would eventually be the ability to design areas at some point. Wrong. It’s a constant fight to clear space and it fills right back in with unwanted items. There’s no point to any of this. Deleting.

I’ve been playing Merge Gardens for so long that I forgot when I even got the game, and throughout my entire experience, I have not seen a single ad. Playing this game is very fun and it is addicting to just keep harvesting items and merging them. I even accidentally found an insane way to get 600+ gems per hour very easily! You can get gems by other means also, as in events, puzzles, daily packages, and more. I used to think this game was very p2w, but I have figured out that it is not and that almost every single item is somewhat obtainable throughout the events and puzzle rewards (except for maybe berry bushes). The puzzles in this game start off very easy, and get much more difficult as you progress in the game. Even though later game puzzles are extremely hard with a very small amount of moves, they are all possible and just take a little perseverance. I do have a couple suggestions for the game, though. The one I would most like to see added is an option in settings to stop wildlife from harvesting objects on their own and instead only do it when you drag them onto it and/or double tap it. Another suggestion I have is to nerf the price for buying more egg coop slots. You could just take it from 100 gems per slot to something more reasonable like 70 or 80. I also really love the new live events as I think it is a wonderful way to get players more into the different puzzles. That about wraps it up for this review, being how long it is. Overall, Merge Gardens is an extremely great and awesome game!

It’s a shame because the game is promising, with great characters, a great storyline and beautiful graphics. But the difficulty of the puzzles and the amount needed to pass a single level have rendered the game unplayable. It’s unreasonable, and it’s clearly to make you spend money/gems. I have no issue with spending money on games, but I don’t like to feel like I’m being strong-armed into doing it just to be allowed to continue a game. And clearly it’s an algorithm of sorts, because after 4-5 failed attempts at passing a level, the game gives up on trying to sell you power-ups and gems and lets you pass the level, all of a sudden, mysteriously, conveniently, with 14 moves to spare! Hmmm… clearly not about skills. You just have to suffer through playing each level 5 times until the game allows you to move forward. And yea I know that the developer is going to say that they’ve tested all the puzzles and they had no problem passing them without gems or powerups (hmmm), but I’ve done a test of my own. I’m no stranger to match-3 games. Currently playing three match-3 games (Gardenscapes, Candy Saga, and Merge Gardens) and the other two don’t even come close to this constant level of difficulty to pass Merge Gardens puzzles. I all but forgot what the plot was and all but abandoned all the other features of the game just to focus on passing 15 puzzles. Every. Single. Level. Just to move forward a little. Such a shame.

This game is super fun! Though I have seen some people complain about too many adds? I’m sorry but this game doesn’t have those annoying time wasting long pointless adds!! I hate the other merging games because after a couple mins it becomes harder and more frustrating but this game is a lot of fun, easy to play and endgame purchases that they have are cheap and affordable. When have you seen a game that has a decent price for purchasing something? It doesn’t really happen like ever, not to mention it’s a great way to focus on if I’m having bad anxiety, no that might not work for everyone but it does for me. Everything about this game is perfect and enjoyable, yes the puzzles might get harder but it’s still fun to play. I hope you reading this doesn’t end up believing that this game has too many adds and isn’t worth playing, but I will say just try it out for yourself before you decide to keep playing it or not or if the people who hate the game just because it’s easy and enjoyable are really telling the truth.

I enjoyed the game & the garden & graphics are beautiful. At first it’s fun and I enjoyed watching things grow & progressing. The frustration part. I never could get more than 30 gems (and I takes time to accumulate that), I was never able to complete an event. I’m a task person & read all the tips & tricks, etc… but if you don’t spend money to buy gems there will just be things you either cannot ever do, or will take an extreme amount of time to accomplish. I was considering deleting due to the videos you have to watch being a minute long! The last straw for the was cleaning up the park… I love when games have events, it was fun, i cleared out everything & organized it & completed all tasks with just 1 to go, healing the land …i was 3 points away from finishing with almost 2 full days left. I have just a few hours left in the event & there’s NO WAY I can complete it. I need water to forms ponds. I was able to form 1 because a video popped up giving me the additional piece I needed, that didn’t happen again although I waited for everything to fill up, along with letting puddles appear prior to trying …. Every time , I just needed 1 more, and couldn’t get it before at least 1 other turned into a mushroom. With not completing any event & doing all the work for this last one & knowing without buying gems (that will be an ongoing thing, not an occasional thing) I won’t be able to do some things, get some things, or complete events, i deleted it . It just isn’t worth it.
