Pros: YOU get to control when you see ads! This is by far the aspect that keeps me coming back. If you run out of ‘energy’ you can watch ads to get more energy to play longer. You also get to skip through the storyline so you can get back to the main point of the game. It’s very satisfying to complete orders on top of advancing throughout the game with cute decor to create your little world! Cons: lots of pop ups for new challenges show up after opening the app after not playing for awhile..but you get used to it because you expect it and even then it’s not that bad. **i’ve never made any in app purchases and don’t plan to because once i do that could be a slippery slope
I suggest you take a look at the possible inherent racial bias that may exist in your game. All the brown and Black characters seem to have some deep character flaws or promiscuity about them while most of the White characters appear to have more moral or socioeconomic power or acuity. It makes your very good game come across as socially ignorant and I know this game is far better than that. I support the LGBTQ+ community but as a Black heterosexual woman, it skeeves me out that all of the White women in the game are portrayed as feminine and desirable while the one brown or Black woman is A. gay or bisexual and B. frumpy and not feminine. This perpetuates a false narrative that minority women aren’t feminine, and that they are all masculine lesbians. Frankly, the majority of Black women I know are morally admirable, feminine, and in heterosexual relationships. This includes Black and brown women in my family, friends, and colleagues. Same for Black and brown men. Your one Black man in the game is highly suspect and flamboyantly feminine. In my life, the majority of gay men I know are White. Most Black men in my life are straight, traditionally masculine, fiscally conservative, socially centrist, and are family men. Please take a look.
This game has a decent amount of polish put into it and the gameplay is as you’d expect. The problem though is that the developer actively chooses to change the rules of the game to prevent you from professing without paying. I have spent over 200 in the game and was progressing just fine but as I approached level 47 I was met with a 1500% increase in star requirements while also seeing a reduction in stars that I receive. When messaging customer support asking for justification for this change I was ignored and my messages deleted. It’s clear that the team is only looking to extort its players for every dime it can. I’ve checked with other players hoping to understand what the overall situation is but was told that some were experiencing the same unfair treatment while others were not even on the same exact level. Shame on this developer for augmenting their game and targeting specific users while also inconsistently applying changes across their player base.
