MedAdvisor Medication Tracker

I have been using MedAdvisor for at least a couple of years now. I have trouble remembering things, particularly what medications and dosages I take as I have quite a few. I can see how many days (and edit if needed)I have left of my current prescription (which can be useful if I’m not sure if I already took it or not) and how many repeats I have left. When I go to my doctor each month I can pull up my MedAdvisor app and tell him which prescriptions I need repeats of. You can also add in the non-prescription meds you take frequently into your list so you know exactly what you take and can provide to doctors if needed and to stay safe from drug interactions or contraindications. The ONLY fault I find with the app (and this has been an issue on and off over the years, but has been persistent for a while now), if you don’t take the photo of your new prescription fast enough the entire app freezes and you have to completely close the app and restart it and try again. It will often freeze even once you have taken the photo and just not load to the next page. If you have more than 1 prescription to take a photo of its even more hit and miss. If you DO manage to take the photo/s successfully, they turn out a little fuzzy (but thankfully my pharmacy can still process due them being regular/permanent prescriptions). For this reason I had to remove a star from my review, if this can be fixed and stay fixed it would be 5 stars!

I downloaded this app during COVID-19 to make it easier to order my script and spend less time in the Pharmacy. It took two attempts to have my account verified at the Pharmacy, which required me to log in and out multiple times. My script was uploaded, I viewed it in the app and familiarized myself with how to go about ordering my script so I knew what to do when the time came. I was really impressed with the app at this point. When I realised I needed to order my script I tried to log in, but it told me my details were incorrect although I knew they weren’t. I tried forgot my password but it said that I had no account. I contacted support to find out what was going on. After a couple of emails they simply told me there was no account in my name, email or mobile number!!! They did tell me there was a silver lining though, I could create an account!! I already had an account so pardon me if I didn’t see that as a silver lining! I emailed them back with further details and to advise that I still have a text message from MedAdvisor in March with a link to reset my password - how could I possibly have this if I didn’t have an account? The only response after that was an email asking to rate the customer service. When I went to do that it said the ticket was closed so I couldn’t rate it! I’m now left wondering where my account is and what has happened to my information - I am not happy at all that my issue seems to have been dismissed. I would not be trusting this app with such important information if an account can be there one minute and apparently gone without a trace the next. Very disappointing!

Considering everything that is happening in the current medical climate of the world, this app has been phenomenal. The changes they have made have made the app easier to use and has very clear instructions. I truly appreciate what this app does for me and I look forward to supporting this app and company in the future and anything they bring out. I am incredibly impressed everyday about all the different elements that Medadvisor allows me to do and also the hard work that must go into this app for it to work as well as it does. I highly recommend to anyone that takes medication to use this app as it allows you to live your life without the stress of missing medication times or being able to refill your scripts before you run out. If you are considering using this app, stop wondering and just start!! Congratulations to the teams that have been working on this, you’ve done a magnificent job!!
