Maka needs to work on their UX. First thing is that the push notifications are WAY too much. It gets annoying, people will turn off notifications for the app specifically and will miss important things you want them to know. Secondly, there doesn’t seem to be any way to verify phone numbers? I logged in with my number and saw that someone else had used it to create an account. Yikes. Another thing is that when you’re shopping, items appear to be on sale but when it comes to check out, it shows the full price. That’s dark UX and is really not cool, guys. Finally, while I was trying to check out something, a modal popped up and guess what? It didn’t have a close button! I had to close the entire app out of frustration. I’ve ordered before and the clothes were good but tbh I don’t think I’m interested in trying to use that app anymore.
The platform is nice, it is the first online fashion platform in Nigeria that I’ve come across and they have pretty things for every budget & that is super. A few pointers, it would make things easier for shoppers if there was a filter option to be able to streamline what a customer is looking for. I also noticed that sometimes there was a refresh or quick down scroll that happened if I selected an item to view in detail, I’m not sure why that happens.
I can for one say that the app is okay. It is good. It would be of great benefit for people who are short and slim. For people who are outside this category, you might face some problems. I use 2xl for example and I am about 6ft. The app doesn't provide clothes for my type. Most of the clothes are either small or medium. Please, this should be fixed and it would go a long way. I saw another review complaining about this same issue. The advertising lured me to download the app. It would lure more people to download it. To be able to secure these people like me, make them experience better than what they have seen in the advert. Thank you.
