I was a little hesitant to download the app based on the reviews, but I thought I would try it anyway and so far so good. I didn’t have any issues during the setup process. My ID scanned fine. The selfie verification process was a little confusing, but got it on the second try. Think of it like the first time you set up Face ID. You have to move your head, not the phone. It will appear blurry on the screen. I am not sure the reason for all the 1 star reviews. I am running the latest OS with a iPhone 17 pro and haven’t had any snags. Only feedback I would have for the BA or Dev team - from a UX/UI standpoint it would be nice to have my birthday on the main screen instead of having to drill down to the profile information. It would save a little time for when I need to verify my age.
I was really excited about the fact that Kentucky added a digital ID with the hopes we could add it to our Apple Wallets. Unfortunately that is not the case. The app looked fine and works fairly well. I had to try and capture my ID several times because it kept failing without explanation. I finally got it tho. Thank you for the digital ID, but please allow it to be added to Apple Wallet. Thank you.
So it’s pretty stupid you can’t add this to your Apple Wallet. Also the app makes you pause for way too long going through the instructions. I thought the app was broke and then finally the button would highlight to continue when scanning the photo and your face. Also this is kind of pointless because you are still required to produce a physical ID for a traffic stop or accident, 99% of the use case this could be used for, you can’t. Dumb. As far as the app. It’s OK, looks great and it works fine, but maybe adding a counter to continue would let the user know why the button isn’t highlighted would be helpful. Sorry I hate to be a bummer on the first of reviews. But, thanks for the app Kentucky?
