Subject: Issues with the DE Mobile ID Application Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to bring to your attention some significant technical issues I have encountered while using the Delaware Mobile ID (DE Mobile ID) application. Specifically, I have experienced the following problems: 1. Unstable performance: The app crashes unexpectedly and frequently, making it unreliable for regular use. 2. Limited functionality on iPhone: It is currently not possible to add the digital ID to the Apple Wallet, unlike similar applications offered by other states. This limits the convenience and accessibility of the digital ID for Delaware residents. Given the increasing importance of digital identification, I respectfully request that you consider making improvements to the application, including: • Ensuring greater stability across various iPhone models; • Enabling integration with Apple Wallet, similar to implementations in states such as Arizona and Colorado. Implementing these enhancements would significantly improve user experience and strengthen the digital infrastructure of the State of Delaware. I would appreciate your response and any information regarding upcoming updates or planned improvements to address these concerns.
I'm not sure how I will use this or is purpose. I was looking to see if Delaware had a DMV app and found this. It seem logical to just do it, didn't find any security risk in it and figure it was created with a reason and a purpose, so I tried it. The process was easy and the end product looks pretty good. 2 months ago, I misplaced my wallet. If this is an official ID and it's accepted by all states, it would've been handy to have at the time in the event it would be needed to identify myself. Over all, I think it's an awesome idea.
It was very easy to upload my driver’s license into digital format on this app. I like the fact that this app allows me to verify my age, but can keep the rest of my personal details (address, etc.) hidden. I hope that I will be able to eventually exclusively use the app rather than my physical license. Apparently it can not be used if asked to provide your license by the police in Delaware, in a traffic stop or other scenario. Not sure how many local businesses are able to accept the digital i.d., evidently it’s a matter of who has the technology. It is a great concept, however, I moved to DE from CA 9 yrs ago & have found, in general, DE is way behind the times... which leads me to believe a digital i.d. may be useless. If this is the case, I’ll have to delete the app, iphone space is precious, can’t use it on an app that has no purpose.
Including layers of security and privacy controls, Delaware Mobile ID is a contactless, convenient way to verify your identity from your phone. Delaw...
