EXCELLENT FOOD & WORKOUT TRACKER!

I’m new to JOY but not new to food logging. I’ve been a long time My Fitness Pal user and I recently started using JOY. I love that EVERYTHING is right here in one spot! I can log my daily food, workouts and track progress with great detail. I’m a Nutrition Coach and I am starting to switch my clients over from MFP to JOY because it’s more on point re food calorie/content. I noticed when I started logging my food on JOY a significant difference compared to MFP. JOY uses USDA info for their database so it’s way more accurate. JOY also has the option to not only log workouts but log specific exercises, sets & reps which can be used to track performance progress as well. It’s also way more user friendly then MFP un that respect. I’m overjoyed I found JOY!

Comprehensive + great customer service

I’ve used the WW (Weight Watchers) app on and off and I’d say this app surpasses that one in many ways (visibility to macro nutrients; flexibility in choosing serving sizes and units of measurement; “Notes” feature) I’ve also been impressed with their customer service, which turns around a reply almost instantaneously, much to my amazement. I’ve had a couple of times where I didn’t understand how to input something and they’ve been on it immediately. My health coach/dietician also has access to all my data so she can track me in real time, and reach out in between our biweekly sessions if the thinks I might need a boost or some accountability. The reasons I didn’t put 5 stars are: - I generally don’t give out 5 unless there are no more improvements to be made (a rarity) - The app can’t pull my activity from my Apple Watch (yet — according to my coach, this is a feature they’re working on.) - The user interface isn’t as intuitive as WW, and also, I’d love to be able to click on a checkbox every time I drink a glass of water, as opposed to aggregating it all and dumping it in at dinner or some other meal. WW allows you to do this. These are relatively minor issues, though, and I’d rather have transparency and great customer service than the obfuscation that the WW engage in sometimes.

Amazing!

I never review apps but this is so amazing I had to make sure everyone considering Joy knows how amazing it is! I have used MyFitnessPal for years and Joy solves all the annoyances I had with that app. I love that you can choose any quantity of what you’re tracking without having to make it a fraction of what the original serving size is. I can scoop out however much I want, punch in the weight, and Joy does all the work of calculating! I love that I can set specific macro goals and it will tell me how much of each I have left for the day in addition to calories. I also love that you can set different goals for different days/situations, and create your own categories of meals. My only complaint is that the simple, clean design and text can be a bit hard to read at times, and it takes a minute to figure out how to use it, but once you get it, it is SO easy!
