U.S. Bank ReliaCard

US Army active duty vet had to keep my I live in warm during an ice storm in which we were stuck in our car out of gas due to a security lock on our card. We called customer service and three people refused to look beyond ink and paper and help the family out in a dire situation. Add a column back four times we did get a hold of a gentleman that was willing to help us he fix my issue in five minutes and my card is back active after eight hours Merica the supervisor possibly not sure as I was directed to three other supervisors that turned out not to be supervisors was rude in inconsiderate they refused to help us in anyway my car is it available balance was over 1000 bucks but the security lock let me in my family to states away stuck in an ice storm after hitchhiking to the next date to get my hands on my ID which was directed to me by a staff member caught a ride back to my family with my ID only to find out it would take two business days to process the request. For people refuse to help me and my family one gentleman was able to go above and beyond see if there’s some extra paperwork and find my verification and activate my card putting my family back on the road thank you to that gentleman if I was you I would find a new job at a more reputable and compassionate company because they don’t deserve you I’ll be pulling my phones in my services away from this card immediately if you have money on this card and need access to it find another option. I got this card with my PUA unemployment. I didn’t expect to truly love the card, the app and everything that goes with it. I’m a mom, and I need something that it is easy, but also secure. I don’t want to have to worry breach of data but I also don’t want some thing that is so mind-boggling hard it’s just too much. I get a text whenever the card is used. I get a text whenever there’s a deposit. I get a text with my balance. These notifications were chosen by me. I can change my notification preferences, topics or turn text notifications off all together. I love this. I can deposit or withdraw money at thousands of different locations without a fee. This is awesome. I can choose to get a paper statement or not, no hidden fees either way. When it is all said and done...I will continue with this card. When there is no more PUA or unemployment, I will continue to keep this card. Every debit card I’ve ever seen/used has fees attached. The big fee... If you use an ATM at a financial institution that is different from the financial institution that issued the card. NOT THIS CARD THOUGH!! Absolutely Awesome!!!

I presume that once a UI request for payment has been approved, or denied, by the system,(which is immediately) it continues forward for distribution or is kicked out. System approval obviously indicates funds are available and your request is valid. That being said, what I don’t understand is why it can take another day to receive a distribution. If the direct deposit is approved payment could be almost immediate. Which I’m confident would help a large number of people who had to wait two days for distribution due to physical bank closures over a National holiday. The card lacks the ability to transfers money to other accounts. More of a convenience issue but huge in time saving. Otherwise Im grateful to have the card as a dependable secure source for handling the distributions and spending flexibility. However, if you are trying to make a payment to Discover other Bank cards you generally have to add a payment method to that account. Because we cannot add money to the ReliaCard we are not provided account and routing information to do that. So paying such bills is not an option with this card. To really be a full function useable card, we need the ability to add money and be given the account and routing information to perform tasks that are not covered with the current card options and services. I am also not thrilled about having my card locked for putting money on a casino website. This is not welfare, this is money I have worked hard to earn which in turn should give me the right to spend it how and where I desire.
