This app honestly changed the way I travel. Whether I’m just exploring around home or going somewhere completely new, I find myself using it every time. Trying to figure out the best spots for photos or scenic views can get overwhelming, but this app makes it way easier. I like that you can actually see what places look like through other people’s photos, so you’re not wasting time guessing where to go. The lighting feature is what really sold me though. I used it when I went to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and it told me exactly when to take the shot to avoid harsh shadows. Really made a huge difference in how the photos came out. Honestly, if you’re into photography or even just like traveling and finding cool spots, this app is 100% worth it. I genuinely don’t see myself going on another trip without it.
Thought I was signing up for a trial, but I must have toggled something accidentally because it actually charged me money before I could ever even try out the app. And then the app is still too early to be in production, super buggy and glitchy. The bottom card randomly pops up all the time when you are trying to view the map and covers the whole screen so you can’t see the map or explore from the map. Then the boxes have a number I would assume is how many photos of a location, but they only show you one photo of the location which often isn’t enough to tell if it’s actually the location you want and then it immediately uses the entire location card to try to show you other locations instead of helping you see the location you are actually trying to research. Bad design, glitchy UI, not enough helpful information actually displayed in a usable way. It’s a pity, seems like a great idea executed very poorly and launched too early.
Whether you’re traveling somewhere new or deciding on what time to visit a favorite spot, this app is perfect. You can actually see the “light” forecast for the day, so it basically tells you when and where to go for the best shots. You can look at a bunch of different locations and compare them, so if you only have time for one, you know where you’ll have the best chance of getting a great shot. I’m definitely using this on every trip I go on in the future!
