Cave Heroes: Idle Dungeon RPG

The game starts getting laggy the first time you switch from dungeon to town, and gets worse and worse with each switch (which you’ll be doing every few seconds, at least early on), until very soon the buttons are taking 20 seconds to respond and you’re killing the app. Quitting and relaunching, it again took under a minute until the town animations were getting stuck and the buttons weren’t responding. This is on an iPhone 16 Pro. (PS, who is making games in Adobe AIR five years after Adobe abandoned it?)

It’s a fun idea for a game but the ads you watch while playing are awful and make your phone overheat. It is not uncommon for my phone to stop charging because it has made my phone so hot. It will also drain your battery so fast. You don’t have to watch the ads, but the game already progresses at an incredibly slow pace and without the ad rewards there is almost no progress at all. The ads they show are sometimes several minutes long for what is often a very minor reward.

Game is great, works well on my iphone 14. Sometimes the overseer system needs help getting started after returning from being offline, but that might be due to not having the overseer actions achievement. Not sure why other people complain about the game being unplayable. Either their phone storages are way overfilled or the game has been fixed. Would recommend.
