I really love this game! It flows so smoothly and I really love that you can explore your city on foot. There’s a ton of cool buildings to choose from, and you can really make your city look like whatever you want it to. There are a few bugs though, such as the technology center not generating intellectual property and buildings disappearing when you zoom out. There is also some room for improvement. There seems to be a pretty low ceiling for population, and it’s really hard to get it above 300,000. I would love to see more high density housing options. Also, the commercial demand bar is impossible to get to go down when your city is fully built out. I found myself demolishing residential and industrial zoning to build more commercial, but it still didn’t budge. It would be cool if you could research “online shopping” to get commercial demand to go down. I would also like to see more quests, I feel like they are all the same after a certain point and get repetitive. It’s also quite difficult to get research points. I don’t mind it being kind of restrictive so that you have to be wise with how you spend them, but they are so rare to the point that you can be at level 200 and still only have a few things researched, with no option to get more except for exploring the hospital or animal shelter or something. They give you a ton during survival mode though, way more than you need.
Finally a real city builder game and not one of these idle games where you are forced to run a supply chain to earn coins so you can build things. You can play this game however you want and grow it at your pace. it also includes a Sims-like element where you can buy a home in furnish it, although the homes are identical regardless of what building you purchase. You can also walk virtually on the street and even drive a vehicle. I am enjoying this game. We have needed a real city builder for a while. I have a few suggestions. First I would like an even larger map because I've already maxed out a city. I'd like some more variety in the building sizes. It would be great if we could do curved roads so not everything is a grid. I'd like to see traffic management improved, specifically being able to see where my bus routes are and maybe statistics showing riders. And also it would be nice if there was some more terrain options so we didn't always build on flat land.
I don’t normally play city simulators but this one is really cool. I love that you can go into a third person pov and explore the city on your own feet PLUS do all the regular city building stuff. The mini games are cool too (uber, firefighter sim, hide and seek, etc). First time playing it and I was there for hours. It’s honestly so cool. The ONLY thing is that it does get your phone hot after a while but it makes sense. Honestly I’m fully invested, I reached lvl 60 after a good 5 hours straight. You can adopt animals, drive cars, and befriend people in your city. The natural disasters are awesome too, they let you rebuild for free so it’s just something crazy to do if you get a bit bored. Literally a perfect game that reminds me why I pay for Apple Arcade every month lol.
