I have gone through multiple counselors, therapists, but none that stuck. I truly feel that Dr. Linton cares about her patients in a level that no other therapist does. She doesn’t make me feel like a stack of papers sitting on her desk waiting for her to get through the stack and find a solution as soon as possible. She takes time to ask the right questions and what my symptoms are. She isn’t trying to pump me full of pills and that’s one of the main things I was scared of. I was scared that they (meaning therapists) were just going to try to throw whatever medication at me until one stuck. But not Dr. Linton. She started off low and slow depending on my symptoms. And low and behold, the medication stuck ON THE FIRST TRY! I went through a trial back in 2018 and tried 5 different medications that just didn’t work or help AT ALL. But with Dr. Linton I feel she truly listens to my concerns. I truly recommend this app and therapist. You will NOT regret it!!
i’ve been using Grow Therapy for almost 2 years now. i initially just wanted to see a physiatrist for medication management for certain diagnosis’ that i’ve had for several years now. i was treated in the past and then had a horrible experience with a doctor and dropped out of therapy and medication entirely. then i found Grow Therapy. i only pay $15 a visit because of what my insurance covers and they take a very wide variety of insurances. the first psychiatrist that i found was the one i am still with, she’s absolutely amazing. then the app came along (grow was just a website until this point) and the app is really user friendly and makes accessing everything (messages, appts, work tools, etc.) so seamless. i am now seeing a therapist weekly on top of my monthly psychiatrist visits and the therapist i am seeing is wonderful as well. all in all this is the best experience i think i could have ever gotten, all thanks to grow therapy. anyone who wants to reach out for professional help, should absolutely come here and join the Grow family.
My one complaint (but honestly, is quite a big factor) is the lack of financial transparency. I understand it takes a while for insurance claims to be processed and charges to be filed, but it is entirely misleading to write in your billing page $0 charges. Because a month later, this $0 changed to the charge amount. I researched online after this happened to me, and it apparently is common for people to have unexpected charges from this platform. If Grow Therapy wants to prevent things like this happening and for users to have a good experience, this should not be displayed as $0 but instead as $— with a message explaining that insurance is being processed and this typically takes 30-45 business days. That $0 (and what my provider told me) misled me to believe my insurance covered everything, so imagine my shock when I see bills amounting to almost $500 of the past month roll in. Unbelievable. I am currently waiting on customer support as this is being escalated, so will report again to see how they handle this situation. Not coming back. I have had way better experiences with different providers. Extremely frustrating to have built a relationship with a therapist for it to be cut short.
