Rise of Arks: Survival Game

Loving this game so far! Most of the time I have no idea what I’m doing in this game, but it certainly is a lot of fun! No need to purchase things, which is one thing that attracted me to it. You get lots of free speed ups along the way from doing various tasks and fights and things. I have a great alliance I’m part of and there’s benefits to that too. Fun game if you don’t mind waiting a little bit for some of the more advanced items to be upgraded! Tons to do in between

The game railroads you through the first 3 chapters (at least) by preventing you from doing any other actions other than what it wants you to do, effectively leading to a gaming experience where you just click “next” for the first couple hundred actions. It’s mind numbing and really detracts from the gameplay. I also went to provide this feedback via the support function in the app, and they use an AI chatbot that is clearly third party - the operations team didn’t update the account so the chatbot simply refers to the game as “demoapp.” Poor attention to detail from an operational standpoint

‘Rise of Arks’ is yet another entry in the ever-growing list of civilization builder games. If you’ve played *any* civilization builder in the past decade, you’ve basically already played this one—except they somehow managed to make it less exciting. From the moment you start, everything feels like a checklist of clichés. You build farms. You gather resources. You expand. And then...you wait. A lot. The game’s pacing is excruciatingly slow, making it feel less like leading a grand empire and more like babysitting a spreadsheet. Every decision you make feels like it’s been ripped straight out of a hundred other games, only less engaging. The graphics are as uninspired as the gameplay. Bland, muted colors and flat designs make your raft feel lifeless. Even the map layouts are painfully generic, offering nothing in the way of dynamic challenges or unique terrain features. As for the AI, it’s as predictable as ever—enemies make the same moves game after game, leading to battles that are more of a formality than a strategic challenge. The soundtrack is equally forgettable, with the same handful of tracks looping endlessly, doing nothing to immerse you in your raft’s development. And don't expect any new ideas here—no twists on the classic formula, no innovative features, no reason to invest more than a few hours before the monotony sets in. In the end, Rise of Arks is a game that does exactly what’s expected, but with zero flair or excitement. If you’re looking for a civilization builder that offers absolutely NOTHING new, you came to the right place! This one is a yawn-fest from start to finish.
