This app can be great, and some of the sellers are really on top of it, and they get your item shipped to you right away. But the majority of them take FOREVER to ship, if they even ever ship the items out! It’s not uncommon to receive items 6-8 weeks after the auction. And the one auction I really wanted to win, it looked like I had won, I submitted my $2200 bid, and somebody else submitted a bid for the SAME AMOUNT RIGHT AFTER MINE, and somehow they won. Contacted the seller, no response whatsoever. Contacted support for the app and finally got a response, that there was some kind log tech glitch? I think it was rigged, it was for a $10,000 ring. I’ve had several items that haven’t shown up at all and the seller isn’t responsive to my contacts. You can find great deals sometimes but you really have to look every other day $ you have to accept the risk that you’ll never get the items you paid for. The 3 great sellers one here are the reason I keep shopping. The rest of them act like they’re doing you, the buyer, a favor and they’ve got no time for politeness.

The first and most awful feature in my opinion, is the search. The second most awful feature in my opinion, is the fact that you have to click on a listing to go in and see the photos, and you can’t scroll through the photos from the main feed page. The third worst feature, is the auctions don’t update in real time like the website does. The next most awful feature is it does not matter if you unsubscribe you will continue to get bombarded with emails after you bid on an auction. Which is so enraging. It actually makes me wanna delete my account forever because why do you keep sending me emails. I’m not looking at them. I’m not reading them. I use the app or the website to make my bids. Or to search for items. It feels like forced advertising. Which brings me to my last and final most awful feature. In my opinion, are the garbage trashcan ads. If you’re scrolling and don’t click on an ad an ad will open anyway. I just don’t understand as a bitter and paying for service fees and auctioneer fees, etc., it’s not that much to ask to make it an ad free experience. So sick and tired of ads being shoved in our faces every single second of the day.

Pro: It’s nice to have a dedicated app for the phone. You can mark favorites and much more. Cons: There are auctions using CTBids that appear on the big estate sale website (not sure if I can use the name in this review) that don’t appear in the CTBids app. The “regionalization” feature (where you’re forced to choose a region to see results) seems to exclude auctions. Additionally, if you’re looking at an item in an auction, and that item is in the middle of 120 other items, tapping the back arrow brings you back to the very top of all available items. You have to scroll aaaaaaallll the way down to get back to where you left off. I think this can become a useful app once it’s had more time to mature, but for now I’m sticking to using a web browser to access the site.
