I actually am so obsessed. I’m unable to download taste on my phone because my iOS version is too low so I downloaded it on my iPad. I really think taste feels like the next biggest social media. It feels like I’m in a room with all my friends and it’s giving chaotic good. It’s nice to make social media casual again and not make everything be so performative and curated. You might be wondering why I brought up that I downloaded it on my iPad I promise it’s relevant! But I was literally so excited to go home tonight from my plans so I could go on Taste and see what everyone else was up to.

Overall a really cute and interactive way of keeping track of the places you’ve been to. Similar to BELI but a lot more social. I really like the way the review comment section looks. The feature where you can review your most recent pictures is so neat and helpful. One feedback is I have a bit trouble looking for my old review when I look up the restaurant. Overall, liking this app so far.

This app reminds me of when social media first took off and you actually connected with friends. It’s inviting, useful, fun to see what other people are and aren’t eating, without being bombarded by the crazy relative reposting some political myth! It’s half a way to say in touch, half to eat like a local and know where (and where not) to go.
