DoD: Roguelike RPG

I’m surprised at how much I genuinely enjoyed this game. It’s basically vampire survivors but cute. But there’s no force to ads. I find the pacing to be really nice and I enjoy a subtle gotcha mechanic. That being said it is a little buggy. Personally, I have an issue where it won’t let me go to the next stage after clearing one unless I close out the app. Since it’s such an easy work around, I don’t mind it, but I could see why that would be a dealbreaker for some people.

The art is adorable, the story is decent, but one big minus point is the gameplay similar to those low-budget games which are overly advertised. I'm gonna keep playing for now, but I don't know if I will in the long term. Tbh I wouldn't have downloaded if the developers hadn't replied so nicely to other players' reviews, but this game is still worth a try

Look, I play this game literally nonstop like I’m actually obsessed. The characters are cute and the gameplay makes it stay fresh and not repetitive/boring. However, with the recent update they got rid of being able to revive yourself twice which isn’t really fair because some of the stages within levels are extremely hard/impossible for no reason whatsoever and I’ll end up losing when I played the best I possibly could. The double revive would especially be helpful for the dimensional arena because sometimes you’ll get a boss that is actually unfair with no chance of you winning. So either make the levels make sense, or bring back the double revive. Again, love this game just some things frustrate me enough to not want to play.
